Shownotes

Jack Rocco M.D. has more than thirty years as a practicing orthopedic surgeon. His work has taken him to many countries and cultures, including to Japan, where he served in the U.S. Air Force, and to Madagascar, where, through a nonprofit organization he established, he treated children suffering primarily from clubfoot. He has served on the board at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.

Recycled, his first book, chronicles the behind-the-scenes, reluctant, and subconscious journey exploring the impact of being relinquished and adopted during the baby-scoop era of the mid-sixties, raised with strong family nurturing, the shocking discovery of his nature, and finally a reconciliation of the two.

He was raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, has lived and worked in cities like Philadelphia and Charlotte, N.C., and at the time of publication was moving to Hartford, Connecticut. He’s the proud father of two soon-to-be-adult children, who live in Rhode Island.
