The first special episode from us is an AMAZING story from survivor Joe Meanen, who worked on the Piper Alpha platform.
The Piper Alpha oil rig was situated off Aberdeen, Scotland and was home to more than 200 men at a time. On a calm summer night in 1988, a gas leak caused a huge explosion that saw a fireball rip through the platform, killing 167 men. Joe Meanen was one of only 61 men to survive the disaster and he chats with Daisy to discuss his experience.
We are honored that Joe chose to discuss his experience on this podcast, and ultimately to share with you & hopefully help to embed the importance of managing health & safety and how we can make a difference going forward.
This bumper episode is a two hour special!!
