Shownotes

Certain boundaries once seen as conferring state legitimacy now appear arbitrary, if not obsolete. As the rhetoric surrounding Trump’s expansion of the border wall between Mexico and the United States demonizes immigrants and immigration reform alike, perspectives that address the inherent violence within the colonial origins of borders seem all the more important. In today’s podcast, New York-based artist Gregory Thielker and Watson Faculty Fellow and anthropologist Paja Faudree talk about about how their most recent collaboration engages with the humanity on both sides of the wall.
