"It doesn't matter if sobriety is horrible, it can't be worse than this." That was Ryan's thoughts that drove him to give Recovery at Guiding Light a chance. He found out about the program after days of nauseating alcohol withdrawals in Holland Hospital and a brief stay at Turning Point, a local detox center operated through salvation army. Today Ryan has been sober for over three years, and works for a non-profit working with men recently released from prison, helping them to re-integrate into society.
