Shownotes

Dr. Adolph "Doc" Brown is a clinical psychologist, master teacher, mental health keynote speaker, and founder/president/CEO of The Business & Education Leadership Authority. He's also the co-host of the new ABC series, The Parent Test. (https://abc.com/shows/the-parent-test)

He strives to help people get to the root of their unconscious bias and change how they see the world. He says it all begins with understanding the brain, which is designed so you don't have to actively think to survive.

The brain plays a game where it tries to match things together. Once it believes it's done so, it stores that data to help us predict the future. The problem is that your brain will match information that is only sometimes accurate. That’s how implicit bias starts.

In this week’s episode, you’ll learn how to combat implicit bias, the importance of taking responsibility for your words and actions, and how to identify genuine empathy for yourself and others.
