Hey, rich friends, it's Dr. T-Mac here and welcome to season three, episode one of the Rich Friends Show with Dr. T-Mac.
-->:Proverbs 1320 says, he that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
-->:And that's pretty much the essence of this podcast or this show.
-->:It has been said that your net worth will be plus or minus the average of our five closest friends.
-->:We should all be rich friends because it is the pleasant, profitable, and practical thing to do.
-->:If you don't have any rich friends, you drastically reduce your chances of becoming a rich friend.
-->:As iron sharpens iron, so does a person sharpen the countenance of their friends.
-->:If you follow the advice and instructions given in this podcast or this show, whichever one you want to call it, you'll find yourself as a rich friend surrounded by your other rich friends.
-->:And I hope that I get to be one of them.
-->:The goal of this season of The Rich Friends Show is to help women entrepreneurs and women professionals achieve financial freedom and build generational wealth, providing you with the tools, mindset, and knowledge to make, manage, and multiply your money with confidence.
-->:In today's episode, I want to be very, very clear about why I changed the name of the show from TMAC Inspired to The Rich Friends Show with Dr. TMAC.
-->:And for you as women entrepreneurs and women professionals, that you can be my rich friend as well.
-->:What does it mean to be a rich friend?
-->:Let me explain.
-->:In my opinion, a rich friend is the acronym that means that you are resourceful, influential, collaborative, helpful, fearless, resilient, innovative, empathetic, nurturing, determined, and supportive.
-->:And that's one of the things that I really, really want to just surround this whole show around is the true meaning of a rich friend.
-->:See, most people think I mean money when I say rich friends, but no, I mean that you are really, really resourceful.
-->:You know how to use your resources, your resources to create wealth because we all have resources.
-->:But some of us are not resourceful.
-->:So this is something that I would love to show you during your time with me.
-->:Also influential.
-->:A lot of us feel like that we, if we're not Beyonce or Oprah Winfrey, that we cannot be influential or have an influence or impact in our community or in our home.
-->:But we truly can because all of us, God has carved out a space, a corner on this earth just for us to impact and be influential to those around us.
-->:Collaborative.
-->:A lot of people think that I don't know how to collaborate with people or I can't find the people to collaborate with and I don't know what collaboration really means.
-->:I don't know my role when it comes to being collaborative.
-->:Well, your role is to show up in the most authentic way possible.
-->:And when you show up as who you are in the space that you're in, you will attract other people
-->:the right people to collaborate with.
-->:I just had a Zoom meeting today with someone I'd never met in my life, but she wants me to come and speak
-->:to her audience.
-->:She wants me to bring my knowledge, to bring my professionalism, to bring my authenticity to her women, to the group of women God called her to serve.
-->:I'm collaborating with her because I'm speaking at her event.
-->:I've never met her, but I was referred to her by someone
-->:in my sphere of influence who I have influenced in a positive way.
-->:So we are collaborating on this event.
-->:So that's what I mean by collaboration.
-->:Helpful.
-->:Be helpful to those around you.
-->:You may think that what you have to offer is not a lot, but trust me, what you have to offer is more than most.
-->:So be helpful with the things that God have provided you with, whether it's the tools, you know, whether it's your skill set or whether it's your mindset and the things that you can pour into other people.
-->:If you see a need, help those in need.
-->:And I love to say this.
-->:This is from my mentor, Myron Golden.
-->:He always says the easiest way to help someone is to help them.
-->:So be helpful.
-->:That's a part of being a rich friend.
-->:Also fearless.
-->:I love living a life of being fearless.
-->:That means I'm not fearful of anything.
-->:I'm not fearful of failure because guess what?
-->:I'm going to fail at something anyway.
-->:We're all going to fail at something every day, whether it's you fail to turn your
-->:alarm clock on before you go to bed, whether it's if you fail to set your crock pot, whatever it is, you're failing at something.
-->:So don't be fearful of failing.
-->:Just go ahead and fail at it and be fearless and keep it moving.
-->:Pick up the pieces and keep going.
-->:Resilience.
-->:No matter what comes your way, no matter how many times you fall down, get back up.
-->:That is what resilience means to me.
-->:That means get up, dust yourself off and keep it moving.
-->:Innovative.
-->:We all can be innovative.
-->:In whatever area that we're in, whatever space that we're in, whether we are professionals, whether we're entrepreneurs, whether we're homemakers, we can be innovative.
-->:We can find those things that we're really good at and we can carve out a niche and we can be innovative in that particular area.
-->:Empathetic.
-->:We all know people who have gone through or are going through something that we've already overcome.
-->:Let's show empathy to those people, not sympathy, but let's be empathetic and let's show that and let's show surround ourselves by those people who need help to pull themselves up so that they can become a rich friend as well.
-->:nurturing as women that is a god in god given in a thing that we have to nurture one another whether it's nurturing our community or nurturing our people in our home our children our husband nurture whether it's nurturing the gift that god has inside of you inside of you nurture show up and nurture that thing
-->:And be determined.
-->:Be determined that no matter what happens, you're going to win.
-->:You are a winner.
-->:Be determined to set that goal.
-->:And no matter how many times you fail, you keep going until you reach that goal.
-->:Because guess what?
-->:Once you reach that goal, there will be another goal.
-->:So be determined.
-->:and also supportive.
-->:We cannot do this alone.
-->:You can't do this alone.
-->:I can't do this alone.
-->:We have to support one another in the thing that God has called us to do.
-->:We have to support those women or people that God has called us to serve.
-->:We have to support others on this journey.
-->:So again,
-->:That is the acronym for rich friends.
-->:Now, why am I so passionate about helping other women and entrepreneurs and professionals become a rich friend?
-->:I'm passionate for a lot of reasons, but the biggest reason I'm passionate about helping other women become a rich friend is because I remember when I didn't have two pennies to rub together.
-->:And I remember when I did have two pennies to rub together, but I felt so empty inside.
-->:I remember making a whole lot of money.
-->:and paying all of my bills, but I was still empty in one area of my life.
-->:I remember working 16 hour shifts at the hospital, working 16, 20 hour shifts as a hairstylist, standing behind the chair.
-->:I remember having that,
-->:feeling of being burned out.
-->:I remember being broke, feeling broken.
-->:I remember feeling tired, having that heaviness, that heavy cloud over me.
-->:And I just couldn't figure out how to get out of that rat race, more than just a rat race of money, but the rat race of not feeling fulfilled.
-->:How many of you know that feeling?
-->:How many of you have that same feeling or have had that feeling?
-->:I remember not being able to leave anything to my children.
-->:I remember thinking if I died today, I would have nothing to leave to my children.
-->:And that is something that I did not want anybody else to feel.
-->:So I created the Rich Friends Circle.
-->:I wrote a book.
-->:Where is my book?
-->:I wrote a book.
-->:Here it is.
-->:We should all be rich friends.
-->:It is your ultimate, ultimate, ultimate circle of success.
-->:These are some of the things that I want to share with you.
-->:I want to pour into you.
-->:This is going to be a fun, fun, fun, fun, fun ride.
-->:For me and you as well, don't forget, pick up your copy.
-->:If you're watching this on video, scan the QR code, order your copy.
-->:If not, the link will be in the description or in the show notes so you can order your copy at richfriendsbook.com.
-->:What's rich about not having
-->:a complete life, a fulfilled life.
-->:What's rich about that?
-->:Nothing.
-->:I remember having to make a decision one day that changed the trajectory of my life, my children's life, my future generations.
-->:And that was for me getting into real estate.
-->:Retiring from nursing, retiring from doing hair, nothing wrong with either one.
-->:I wanted something better.
-->:And I just took a leap of faith.
-->:I jumped out there and I started investing in real estate in 2018.
-->:And I have not looked back and I've been able to create the wealth for my family.
-->:And that is what's rich about being a rich friend.
-->:So you have to become a rich friend in order to have rich friends.
-->:Right.
-->:So I had to make a decision and I had to jump out there and do it.
-->:So what I did was began teaching other women.
-->:First, I started teaching nurses, but then I began to teach other women how to invest in real estate and leverage that as a wealth building tool.
-->:And I would absolutely, absolutely love to share those things with you.
-->:Once you join the Rich Friends Circle, you can do that.
-->:I'll put the link below.
-->:But these are some of the things that I wanted to talk to you about today.
-->:Don't want to hold you too long.
-->:This is the very first episode.
-->:Just wanted to give you an idea.
-->:Wanted to let you know what my heart felt like.
-->:I wanted to open up to you and let you know why I chose the Rich Friends Circle, why I created it, why I have this whole Rich Friends movement.
-->:We should all be rich friends.
-->:I wanted to show you that and I wanted to open up to you.
-->:This is Dr. T-Mac.
-->:Don't forget that you can have it all.
-->:See you on the next episode.
-->:Bye for now.
