Sometimes we get stuck in regards to our home–we want to redo spaces, clean, organize . . . but for one reason or another, we get stuck and find it hard to start anything. I’m Dan Hansen and this is a Minute at RepcoLite.
Last time we talked about Baby Steps–about how starting AND finishing a small project is the best medicine when you’re feeling stuck. And even if that sounds ridiculous, it’s absolutely true. Try it. Are your kitchen cabinets a mess? Do the tupperware lids fall all over the place when you try to find the right one? Or do you have a kitchen junk drawer that’s out of control?
Find one of those disorganized places in your home and take 20 minutes and fix it. A single drawer. A single cupboard. A single shelf. One area. 20 minutes. Declutter it, clean it, organize it . . . and see what happens. I’m betting you go back and look at it a few more times once it’s done just because it feels so good to see progress. And that feeling–that satisfaction–can propel you to bigger things. It’s easy medicine and will get you moving. I’m Dan Hansen and that’s a Minute at RepcoLite.
