Ribbon Cutting for WMATA's New Integrated Command and Communication Center
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA) has inaugurated its new Integrated Command and Communication Center (MICC). The 14-story building in Alexandria, Virginia will serve over 1,400 employees and act as a technology hub, housing the data center, cybersecurity operations, bus and rail video teams, communication, and administrative support. The accomplishment marks the completion of WMATA's Office Consolidation Plan approved in 2018, which combined ten locations into three buildings.
