Transcripts

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, this is going to go into so many different directions.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's do it.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you think that sick children warrant compassion?

CHELSEY DONN:

I do.

TREY GERRALD:

How often do you think fucking children get sick, Chelsey?

VOICEOVER:

Everybody's got an opinion, Every Californian and Virginian, It's so hard to tell who to trust and who to ignore, Someone's gotta settle the score., Trey and Chelsey will help

CHELSEY DONN:

Hello.

CHELSEY DONN:

Hey.

CHELSEY DONN:

And

TREY GERRALD:

everyone, to Review That Review.

TREY GERRALD:

We are the podcast that is dedicated to reviewing.

TREY GERRALD:

That is Chelsey Donn!

CHELSEY DONN:

Gerald.

TREY GERRALD:

can just call us

VOICEOVER:

The Review Queens,

CHELSEY DONN:

But Trey, it's your turn this week.

CHELSEY DONN:

Would you like to?

VOICEOVER:

Larger complaint,

TREY GERRALD:

Yes, Queen.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes, Queen!

TREY GERRALD:

I actually have a complaint that is so annoying and I know you're going to be able to cooperate.

TREY GERRALD:

Now, as someone who is a Mac user, Chelsey, do you know that experience when it's like, your computer will auto install updates, right?

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, so you're like, great, I will do that.

TREY GERRALD:

It also happens with system, operating system updates

CHELSEY DONN:

on the

TREY GERRALD:

iPad or on your phone.

TREY GERRALD:

And it's like, this will update between the hours.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, so you say like, yes, then it still requires you to enter your fucking password.

TREY GERRALD:

So then you fucking do the password after it's been installed.

TREY GERRALD:

And then it gives you nine more minutes to complete the update.

TREY GERRALD:

Are you fucking kidding me, Mr.

TREY GERRALD:

Apple?

TREY GERRALD:

Are you fucking kidding me, Steve Jobs?

TREY GERRALD:

Are you out of your goddamn mind?

TREY GERRALD:

Gord, why are you doing an auto update that I've already said yes to, and then, in order to actually complete the process, I have to then do my fingerprint, I have to do my face ID, I have to do my password, before you can complete the process that I've already said yes to?

TREY GERRALD:

Why?

TREY GERRALD:

Why?

TREY GERRALD:

W H Y, I Y, I Y, it's an I Y, lowercase I, Y, and then why is it taking that long?

TREY GERRALD:

I have things to do on my computer, I have applications that I have running always, so when I have closed them all with that little in between, I've prepared for you to do your stupid update on what, I don't, it's always like, we've made bug improvements on Apple, Microsoft, Word, how I don't use Word, and when I do, the update doesn't matter to me, but you have made me, so, Close everything, I gotta get everything all ready, I know that I have to use this computer because I have a Zoom call in the morning, so

TREY GERRALD:

let me get that all set up and ready, and then I come down, pushing my little time limits here because I'm sleepyface, I gotta get ready, and then my computer, it's that little stupid generic background with the red and the green stripes, go to hell, that's not the one I've chosen, so I know we're not ready, then you say, Password, so then I put in my stupid password and then you give me a black screen with the little Apple logo with the little progress and it says, Estimated update time, 9, 13, 18 minutes?

TREY GERRALD:

Are you out of your fucking mind, Steve Jobs?

TREY GERRALD:

Why?

TREY GERRALD:

Why?

TREY GERRALD:

Why did you not do this while I was sleeping?

TREY GERRALD:

You mean to tell me that my computer sat like that?

TREY GERRALD:

It sat like that for another approval?

TREY GERRALD:

Hours while I snoozed upstairs?

TREY GERRALD:

Are you kidding me?

TREY GERRALD:

Why?

TREY GERRALD:

Why didn't you just finish the download?

TREY GERRALD:

Are you kidding me?

TREY GERRALD:

You restarted and you sat, paused in the middle of production?

TREY GERRALD:

I I I I I I am enraged.

CHELSEY DONN:

Wow, I hear it, I hear it in your voice, Trey.

TREY GERRALD:

Any thoughts?

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, I mean, this happens to me a lot where it'll say like, we're gonna update overnight and then the next morning it'll be like, sorry, failed to update

CHELSEY DONN:

and I'm like, why?

CHELSEY DONN:

What did I do wrong?

CHELSEY DONN:

So I have that issue.

CHELSEY DONN:

I also hate when it's like, like you were saying, it'll be like nine minutes and then like it pops up to like 12 minutes,

CHELSEY DONN:

14 minutes and you're like, how many hours, it'll say one minute and then like five minutes later, it's still on one minute and you're like, don't insult me with.

CHELSEY DONN:

Your inaccurate time

CHELSEY DONN:

frame here.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's really like anything when you go on your computer and you just like can't use it right away.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's very annoying.

CHELSEY DONN:

My, this computer that Trey and I record on that is like now exclusively for podcast purposes is, has been like a lemon since day one.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like every other time I open it, I need to like finagle her, restart her.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's just annoying.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's annoying that I can't just get up, go.

TREY GERRALD:

yeah, my feelings are hurt that you used this one for us.

CHELSEY DONN:

Babe, this was a brand new computer when we started this podcast.

TREY GERRALD:

Is that true?

CHELSEY DONN:

It's true.

TREY GERRALD:

No, that's crazy.

CHELSEY DONN:

I bought this for us.

TREY GERRALD:

But in this conversation of like, how long it takes, it also occurs to me anytime I get a new iPhone, anytime I like, am looking for like, it's time to get a new computer, I'm like, well, I want as much memory in gigabytes as possible, but I know that it's going to take days to convert everything from the old to the

CHELSEY DONN:

I know.

TREY GERRALD:

we're getting out of, I'm such a virtual hoarder.

TREY GERRALD:

It's insane.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, same.

TREY GERRALD:

that's my complaint.

CHELSEY DONN:

I hear you, Trey.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm so over it.

TREY GERRALD:

Steve?

TREY GERRALD:

People that work for Steve?

CHELSEY DONN:

Steve's no longer alive.

CHELSEY DONN:

Do we still blame Steve?

TREY GERRALD:

Mmm, yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

Alright, well, I need to shake that off.

CHELSEY DONN:

I've added it to the ledger.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's for sure,

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's not in process.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's been officially added.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's

CHELSEY DONN:

done.

CHELSEY DONN:

You're welcome.

CHELSEY DONN:

You're welcome.

TREY GERRALD:

You wanna jump into a review?

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my god, please.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's do it.

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review,

CHELSEY DONN:

As you know, we are your trusty Review Queens.

CHELSEY DONN:

We bring in reviews from the internet that we feel need to be inspected.

TREY GERRALD:

We're gonna read you a review.

TREY GERRALD:

We're gonna break it down together.

TREY GERRALD:

We're then gonna rate the impact of that review on a scale going from zero, This is a regal process that we call,

VOICEOVER:

Assess That Kevetch,

TREY GERRALD:

And this week is you, Chelsey Goose, What'd you get?

TREY GERRALD:

What'd you get?

TREY GERRALD:

What'd you get?

TREY GERRALD:

What'd you get?

CHELSEY DONN:

All right, went back to Yelp for this week.

CHELSEY DONN:

I have a one star Yelp review for Blow and Glow, which is a blow dry service, sort of similar to a dry bar, and Here I can read a little bit about it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Blown Glow is a full service salon specializing in hairstyles, updos, makeup, color, haircuts, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, eyebrow shaping, and face threading.

CHELSEY DONN:

Give us a call today for bookings, rates, and availability.

CHELSEY DONN:

You can also contact us on social media and book online.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is a one star review.

CHELSEY DONN:

I might need a little help with the name.

CHELSEY DONN:

A N A H

CHELSEY DONN:

I T, Anna Hit,

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, we'll say Anna.

CHELSEY DONN:

oh say Anna,

CHELSEY DONN:

Anna

TREY GERRALD:

can we say, hit

CHELSEY DONN:

Hit, Anna Hit G, Anna Heat G, Alright, this is the One Star Review,

CHELSEY DONN:

let's get into it.

CHELSEY DONN:

We all know every store has their own policies,

TREY GERRALD:

Mm hmm.

CHELSEY DONN:

When something is final sale, they usually tell you at the store, right?

TREY GERRALD:

Mm

CHELSEY DONN:

You would think that they would tell you deposits are non refundable.

TREY GERRALD:

hmm.

CHELSEY DONN:

a week before my appointment.

CHELSEY DONN:

The receptionist told me we do not return deposits.

CHELSEY DONN:

She gave me a rude answer instead of apologizing.

CHELSEY DONN:

Well, that's how deposits work.

CHELSEY DONN:

Sorry, no, ma'am.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's not how they have worked for me in the past.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's not a universal policy.

CHELSEY DONN:

You need to tell your customers.

CHELSEY DONN:

Usually, salons have a grace period and they give your money back.

CHELSEY DONN:

What if I have COVID?

CHELSEY DONN:

They are okay with me going so I don't lose my deposit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Instead of helping me out,

CHELSEY DONN:

they didn't give me any salon credit or help me change my appointment to another day.

CHELSEY DONN:

Anyways, I was not pleased, but I still showed up to my appointment.

CHELSEY DONN:

The stylist was running behind, so they asked me to wait 15 minutes the most.

CHELSEY DONN:

I wait outside in my car because there was no single chair available to

CHELSEY DONN:

sit on,

TREY GERRALD:

I know this guy,

CHELSEY DONN:

15 minutes pass and I come see this girl's like halfway done, Like don't lie, if it's 30 minutes,

CHELSEY DONN:

tell me, I have a life too, I'm not waiting for you, Instead of apologizing, making me feel comfortable, they made me feel like an idiot, They didn't give my refund, expected me to be fine with that, but if they're super late, they expected me to wait and be okay with it?

CHELSEY DONN:

FYI, I wanted to originally cancel my appointment because my kids were sick.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, have some compassion, bro, especially because I was not warned it was non refundable.

CHELSEY DONN:

If it was like 25, I wouldn't care, but 100?

CHELSEY DONN:

Come on!

CHELSEY DONN:

Whatever, I walked out because I didn't want to spend another second there.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't care if I lost 500 worth of deposit, I would've walked out then too.

CHELSEY DONN:

I never, ever write Yelp reviews.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is my first one, but I couldn't sleep until I vented.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh, hit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, hit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, and a hit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Gee,

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, this is gonna go into so many different directions.

CHELSEY DONN:

let's do it.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you think that sick children warrant compassion?

CHELSEY DONN:

I do.

TREY GERRALD:

How often do you think fucking children get sick, Chelsey?

CHELSEY DONN:

Often, but at the same time, it's like if you're a caregiver and your kids are sick and also like a week in advance,

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

right?

TREY GERRALD:

So, okay, so I also was sort of like, I'm not sure because they talk about COVID and then later they're like, oh, by the way, the reason was my kids were sick.

TREY GERRALD:

So I wonder what the kids had that would last a week.

CHELSEY DONN:

Maybe The kids had COVID, maybe the kids had the flu,

TREY GERRALD:

You don't think that HIT would have mentioned that it was COVID for their children?

TREY GERRALD:

I feel like they would

CHELSEY DONN:

They probably would have, but either way, like, I think the ultimate point here, which, like, maybe it was unnecessary for them to even bring up the kids, I think maybe that's the point, but a week in advance is plenty of time to warrant getting a deposit back, not to mention, I don't think I've ever heard of having to put a deposit down.

TREY GERRALD:

So that was my next question because I've never been to a blowout place.

TREY GERRALD:

Are deposits generally attached to appointments for like blowouts?

TREY GERRALD:

I don't think so.

CHELSEY DONN:

I've never seen that before.

CHELSEY DONN:

I could maybe see it's like put your credit card on file because if you're a no show, Then you're gonna get charged like a hundred bucks.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't like I can make like it in the dry bar.

CHELSEY DONN:

I want to say like I have my credit card in the app.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I'm sure in the language somewhere It's like if you're just a no show like you're probably gonna get charged some a no show fee, but a deposit I've never heard of that for a salon,

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

I also feel like there's a couple of things here, but I feel like a glaring omission.

TREY GERRALD:

So much of the communication in this review is about the receptionist, and I want to know who the receptionist is, because I'm assuming the receptionist is the person that's saying, oh, they're running late, so let's wait 15 minutes.

TREY GERRALD:

Also, I feel like the receptionist is the scheduler, so that's the person that is like, well, that's our policy.

TREY GERRALD:

And you're like, well, that wasn't communicated.

TREY GERRALD:

Also, I'm very confused.

TREY GERRALD:

Did they cancel the original and were charged because they say they showed up?

CHELSEY DONN:

No, because they called to say I'd like to cancel my appointment and they were like, no, we, it's a deposit, like, you don't get your deposit back.

CHELSEY DONN:

And so then they were like, okay, I

CHELSEY DONN:

guess I'll keep my appointment then because like, I'm not going to lose 100 deposit.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then they went to the appointment that they didn't want to go to in the first place.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then they were forced to wait.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then eventually, at a certain point, they were like, fuck this place.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm like, so over it.

TREY GERRALD:

It is interesting to me though, like the double standard because it is, it's like the doctor's office.

TREY GERRALD:

It's like, show up at your appointment time, do not be late,

CHELSEY DONN:

right,

TREY GERRALD:

And then you have to be the one to absorb how they're always running behind.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah,

TREY GERRALD:

I see how that is more acceptable for a doctor because of emergencies and less acceptable for a blowout.

CHELSEY DONN:

Especially a blowout at a place that has this ridiculous policy.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, that's the other thing, though, is like, if you're choosing to go to blow and glow, I recognize like the fine print you want to be told or you want to know but if it's a policy of the store complain about it and move on like and that's what they're doing they couldn't sleep until they did that so like I hear you

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, but I think it's hugely useful, Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, yeah

CHELSEY DONN:

like I get it, like complain and move on and it sounds like that's what they're doing, but at the same time, I'm so glad I read this review because I will never go to this place.

CHELSEY DONN:

I can totally see How people could get finagled into this situation.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like it's just our policy to take a credit card for a deposit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Blow out.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, Oh, maybe that's a little weird, but sure.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh wait, I'm going to be charged even though it's a week before.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, like, that's crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

also how much are blowouts why is the deposit 100

CHELSEY DONN:

was thinking the same thing.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like that sounds like more than the cost of the blowout.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm just I'm wondering is all of the upset at the reception person you

CHELSEY DONN:

Does it matter?

TREY GERRALD:

Well, even if it is like a policy that wasn't communicated, that's a separate issue, but I feel like they made me feel like this, and like instead of taking care of me, like so much of that I feel like can be buffered out based on the personnel, so that's why I would like to know the reception person, unless all receptionists at this place are just cunts.

CHELSEY DONN:

Right, I hear you because it's like obviously it's not a review about like and then they butchered my hair

CHELSEY DONN:

Which is like usually what you're expecting to hear from one of these reviews

TREY GERRALD:

all scheduling.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's all scheduling, but as Tabitha Coffey would say, you know,

CHELSEY DONN:

like

TREY GERRALD:

the face of the company.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah,

CHELSEY DONN:

How even more annoying for the stylist at this place if you are

CHELSEY DONN:

misrepresenting the company.

CHELSEY DONN:

It doesn't really matter.

CHELSEY DONN:

Either way, the person is gonna leave.

CHELSEY DONN:

The person's gonna be pissed.

CHELSEY DONN:

The person's gonna go on Yelp and write a one star review because they can't sleep until they do so.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think that the receptionist and the customer service is an important part of a hair or any like, a really any, any experience

TREY GERRALD:

Me too.

TREY GERRALD:

That's why I wish that HIT had communicated the personnel.

CHELSEY DONN:

like giving them the like said like Ashley did this.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, why not?

TREY GERRALD:

I think that's useful.

CHELSEY DONN:

like called out the person?

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah,

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

I think it's unique.

TREY GERRALD:

I think it's valuable.

TREY GERRALD:

I think it's having an impact on me.

TREY GERRALD:

I just want to truthful shady here.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you think that Any of the being put outness and the audacity is having an impact on the review that we're reading because it comes across as truthful to me, but I'm wondering if there could be any infused shade anywhere.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't, I honestly don't really

CHELSEY DONN:

think so.

CHELSEY DONN:

Just because I think that this is like an experience that I can see someone having and then

CHELSEY DONN:

want it like this is what Yelp is for.

CHELSEY DONN:

If not for Yelp, how would you communicate this?

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, I think it's important for the people to know.

TREY GERRALD:

And I imagine that Hit is not the only person that was unaware.

TREY GERRALD:

So that makes me think that it might be common to be like,

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, would you ever?

CHELSEY DONN:

Would you ever assume that you put a deposit down for something like, we're not talking about a wedding, I mean, you know, like, would you ever think that you would put a deposit down for

CHELSEY DONN:

something like this at all,

CHELSEY DONN:

let alone that you wouldn't be able to cancel and get a deposit, like, and also, I think their point is interesting when they said, they didn't ask me if I wanted to reschedule,

TREY GERRALD:

right, I wrote that down

CHELSEY DONN:

they didn't say like, no problem if you can't come in, why don't we reschedule you and we'll apply the deposit to that day, like,

CHELSEY DONN:

Any of the things that, like, you would normally associate with the deposit for an exchange like this

CHELSEY DONN:

did not happen.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that's extremely useful information for me to know.

TREY GERRALD:

Were you entertained here?

TREY GERRALD:

Was it humorous?

TREY GERRALD:

Definitely not humorous,

CHELSEY DONN:

Mmm, I'm angry.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't think it was humorous.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think it was, like, from the heart.

CHELSEY DONN:

Truthful.

CHELSEY DONN:

Annoyed.

TREY GERRALD:

I think I could crown hit, how are you feeling?

CHELSEY DONN:

I think I can crown Hit.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's do it.

TREY GERRALD:

So Chelsey and I each have our own set of zero to five crown cards.

TREY GERRALD:

In an effort to be fair, not influence each other, we will simultaneously reveal our ratings.

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are tabulating, Total Score,

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, I'm holding up four crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey's holding up four and a half crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey, you go first.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why four and a half crowns?

CHELSEY DONN:

For Hit.

TREY GERRALD:

I think it's a very convincing review.

TREY GERRALD:

And as you said, this is what Yelp is for.

TREY GERRALD:

Without disclosing too much info, I work for a company with pretty rigorous policies that many people construe as

CHELSEY DONN:

Hmm.

TREY GERRALD:

So, I think that's why I'm reacting so hardcore to this review, because as someone in my workplace who has to deal with people's upset around policies multiple times in a day of work, as a southerner, I know to just let me be good cop and I'll call in someone that's above my pay scale to have to be the bad cop, and, you know, honey, gets more than vinegar

CHELSEY DONN:

Sure.

TREY GERRALD:

so that's why i wish they had communicated who the people were that were so gross but i still did four and a half because i don't think that's like You know, that's my preference here.

TREY GERRALD:

And I recognize you just feel swindled.

TREY GERRALD:

And if they aren't being forthcoming, if we're taking hit at their word that there wasn't like a fine print or an asterisk somewhere or the phrase non refundable deposit, then that's fucking shady boots, the house down mama, Mariah Carey.

TREY GERRALD:

So four and a half, because it's pretty strong.

TREY GERRALD:

And I think there's going to have to be a response company wise.

TREY GERRALD:

Otherwise, like, I ain't coming.

TREY GERRALD:

Bitch, I got a blow dryer at home, okay?

TREY GERRALD:

Chelsey, why did you say four?

CHELSEY DONN:

said four, I don't know if I should really be blaming this on Hit, but only because we're really only getting one side of the picture.

CHELSEY DONN:

We're not getting the full view of the scope of like, what is the service?

CHELSEY DONN:

Because we did leave before we actually got the service.

CHELSEY DONN:

So like if I had had this story and Hit had also gotten the haircut or the blowout and also gave me information, I think this would probably be nearly a Review Queen, but I think there's a lot of really good information here.

CHELSEY DONN:

There's a cautionary tale.

CHELSEY DONN:

I would know 1000 percent if I was going to call this place.

CHELSEY DONN:

The first thing I would ask is like, is this deposit refundable?

CHELSEY DONN:

Am I going to have a problem?

CHELSEY DONN:

Do you run late?

CHELSEY DONN:

Like just like

CHELSEY DONN:

questions that I wouldn't have necessarily thought I need to ask before reading this review.

CHELSEY DONN:

I now know I need to come armed with.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I think that's pretty valuable.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that was why I went with four crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Big impact for me.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, heard that.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

Is there a reply?

CHELSEY DONN:

There's not a reply,

CHELSEY DONN:

which is even, I know, I know, I know, well that was like even more why it's like, this is a valuable review, because clearly the company's not coming to their own defense in any way

CHELSEY DONN:

here, or apologizing,

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, this is a beautiful example

CHELSEY DONN:

and this is a verified page,

TREY GERRALD:

Write the power of a reply, cause I, I was willing to, um, be persuaded

CHELSEY DONN:

that's right, I know, that's right,

TREY GERRALD:

blow and glow, more like, blow, no show,

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, more like blow no,

TREY GERRALD:

very good Chelsey,

CHELSEY DONN:

thank you, all right, we've done it, we've reached the most regal portion of our show, Trey, who are you inducting for?,

VOICEOVER:

My Royal Highness, It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,

TREY GERRALD:

love, I really must induct this week, content creators who wear GoPros that are 4K.

TREY GERRALD:

on roller coasters and theme parks and upload them to YouTube.

CHELSEY DONN:

you love this,

TREY GERRALD:

I love experiencing theme park attractions on my couch.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't, it's like, this is a very weird niche thing, but there is a huge community and I'm not even really like, I'm not a Disneyphile.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm not like a theme park person necessarily.

TREY GERRALD:

I love them.

TREY GERRALD:

And I'm for them, but it's not part of my personality, but there's something so satisfying about like, Oh my gosh, I went to like Universal Studios Orlando as a kid, and I remember like the Revenge of the Mummy ride, and it was so scary, and then it like occurs to me for some random reason, and I'm like, Oh wait, I want to like

CHELSEY DONN:

experience,

TREY GERRALD:

it.

TREY GERRALD:

And there's like tons of options.

TREY GERRALD:

There's people that wear GoPros and they like go through the experience, POV, it's so fun, and I don't know, I just, there's something that's very satisfying, it feels, like, innocent and fun and joyful, right, um, and you don't feel like you're gonna get dizzy and throw up donuts from last week, so, I just wanted to take a moment to really give five stars to all these people that do it, cause it's really fun, especially when it's 4K and you're like, OH MY GOD, like, I just love it, talk about a blow and glow, I love, so much.

TREY GERRALD:

I love that.

TREY GERRALD:

So this week, I'm giving you your shine.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm polishing and glowing for you, all of you POV roller coaster YouTubers.

TREY GERRALD:

Thank you for your work.

CHELSEY DONN:

Wow.

TREY GERRALD:

You are my royal highness.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's a niche.

TREY GERRALD:

Have you never watched one?

CHELSEY DONN:

No, I'm not a huge roller coaster person.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I don't know

CHELSEY DONN:

how I would feel.

CHELSEY DONN:

Maybe I would like it, because I don't, have to like go on, but I can still experience

CHELSEY DONN:

it?

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm going to tell, I could tell a story about roller coasters in the after show.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's a little bit embarrassing.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, it's a fun thing because like, especially like Disney, well, all of these amusement parks, like they create such little intricate worlds and so you can like watch them and slow them down.

TREY GERRALD:

And like, sometimes that'll be like a dark ride that they've like done and like the weird Silence of the Lambs, like green, like black

CHELSEY DONN:

yeah, yeah, yeah,

TREY GERRALD:

or whatever.

TREY GERRALD:

So you can like actually

CHELSEY DONN:

you can do the night, the night vision.

TREY GERRALD:

vision.

TREY GERRALD:

They have Space Mountain with the lights on,

CHELSEY DONN:

I wonder if I would like, I love, Space Mountain is my favorite roller

TREY GERRALD:

but then you, you won't feel like your neck is going to get, you know, You're gonna get decapitated 'cause you can actually see like, oh, there's plenty of space.

CHELSEY DONN:

I know, it does always feel like

CHELSEY DONN:

you're gonna like, if I put my hands up, I would lose a hand.

TREY GERRALD:

That's right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

Well we did it, queen that It's another round on the R-U-A-R-Q Ferris wheel of Don't tell me what to pay.

CHELSEY DONN:

And Don't tell me

TREY GERRALD:

cannot change my schedule.

CHELSEY DONN:

And don't make me wait for 30 minutes, And then tell me it's really 15, I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I need a space to sit.

TREY GERRALD:

My car gets exceedingly hot.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you for joining us today.

CHELSEY DONN:

If you like what you heard, please tell a friend.

TREY GERRALD:

If you did not like what you heard today, please tell Blow and Glow.

TREY GERRALD:

Alright, Queens, on this week's After Show, Chelsey and I are going to be rating and reviewing a one star Amazon review for Made Mark by Spongebob Squarepants, Patrick and Spongebob Wide Eyed Surprise Pullover Hoodie, There's

TREY GERRALD:

a 27.

TREY GERRALD:

99 hoodie that have Spongebob and Patrick on it, but this is a repeat

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

VOICEOVER:

Repeat offenders.

TREY GERRALD:

Repeat reviewer, this is Alejandro P., if you remember, we did their shower cap review.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

I wonder why this was said, Alejandro, Alejandro, Ale

CHELSEY DONN:

Alejandro,

TREY GERRALD:

Ale Alejandro, I

CHELSEY DONN:

um,

TREY GERRALD:

don't remember anything else lyric wise in that song.

CHELSEY DONN:

that's all I remember about that,

TREY GERRALD:

that, I love you, hot like Mexico, rejoice, no need to

CHELSEY DONN:

oh my god, I can't believe you remember that.

TREY GERRALD:

Golly gee, I wonder that too.

CHELSEY DONN:

Do you want to Trey?

TREY GERRALD:

I'm wondering, I'm gonna invite you all to remember.

CHELSEY DONN:

Ignore the haters.

CHELSEY DONN:

You're a queen.

TREY GERRALD:

Gender non specific, Queen.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey, I have to talk to you about something on the after show because I'm sure you're very well versed in this, but over the past week I have become obsessed with Gypsy Rose Blanchard

CHELSEY DONN:

and I've watched like Everything?

CHELSEY DONN:

Have you watched all the stuff?

TREY GERRALD:

I love your big D.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my god, I hate that everybody thinks about that because I'm just fascinated by the whole story and I feel, whatever,

CHELSEY DONN:

we could talk about this on the after show, but are, I mean, it's true crime, is

CHELSEY DONN:

this like something you've been, okay,

TREY GERRALD:

the Munchausen by proxy, or, which is not the clinical term any longer,

CHELSEY DONN:

it's not,

TREY GERRALD:

medical, medical abuse by, um, insinuation.

TREY GERRALD:

There's a, there's actually a new term,

CHELSEY DONN:

weird, okay,

TREY GERRALD:

but colloquially we say Munchausen by proxy.

TREY GERRALD:

But yeah, it's not my gig.

TREY GERRALD:

It's not my go to.

TREY GERRALD:

I did listen to another podcast recently about Munchausen's, but I did watch Mommy, Dead and Dearest

CHELSEY DONN:

okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Watched

TREY GERRALD:

and yes, I was very much aware.

TREY GERRALD:

I think yeah,

CHELSEY DONN:

you?

CHELSEY DONN:

I watched the act.

CHELSEY DONN:

I watched like the entire thing in two days.

TREY GERRALD:

That's the Dramatized version.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes,

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, I didn't watch that.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, it's really it is a very complicated and compelling story

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes,

CHELSEY DONN:

for sure.

CHELSEY DONN:

One of the more compelling stories I've encountered in a long time.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, let's talk about it.

TREY GERRALD:

We'll see you

CHELSEY DONN:

about it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Friday.

CHELSEY DONN:

Bye!
