RCAF Capt. Mort Lightstone (Retired) discusses his experiences using World War II navigation technology called Consol, which was a precursor to the LORAN system and satellite delivered GPS. Console was created by the Germans to aid U-Boats in their navigation when celestial navigation was not useable due to cloud cover.
