Sam Leimanis has worked in charity communications for 5 years and used to work for the sexual health charity FPA before joining the British Pregnancy Advisory Service. Sam leads on press at BPAS of which involves responding to media enquiries and breaking news, writing statements, supporting campaigns, and more. They have done a lot of advocacy work via media appearances sharing their own experiences of abortion with the public.
In this episode, Sam discusses the difficult subject of abortion, covering the recent Texas Abortion Law and the confusing legislation we’re faced with here in the UK. They explain why it’s important to be pro-choice and why it’s time the law on abortion from the 1860s needs abolishing. Their experience of pro-choice and anti-abortion arguments from their own abortion experience gives insight into the world of unplanned pregnancy.
