He also discusses some research showing liberals with no faith find little meaning in life, in contrast to those more conservative and who see value in believing. Simon also discusses the urgent need for New Zealand to introduce Modern Slavery legislation, something he sought to introduce while in parliament and as yet, not enacted by government.
