Shownotes

If you want a real business that changes your life and your family’s legacy, you have to stop treating it like a hobby and start showing up like the CEO - even when life is life-ing.

No fluff, no excuses. Trish shares how she built Labor Nurse Mama into a seven-figure impact brand while working as a full-time labor nurse, getting divorced, homeschooling, and raising seven kids… by treating her business like a non-negotiable job (not a “when I feel like it” side hustle).

If you’re waiting to “feel motivated,” ghosting your audience for days, or hoping someone else will come save your offers - this episode is your wake-up call. Discipline over motivation. Consistency over perfection. Authenticity + authority + consistency = sold-out offers.

💡 What You’ll Learn Inside This Episode

  • Why treating your business like a hobby keeps it performing like one (and how to flip the switch starting today)
  • The hard truth: no coach, partner, or viral reel is coming to save you - only YOU showing up consistently will
  • How the days you least feel like showing up often become your biggest sales days
  • Why authenticity + authority + consistency is the only algorithm that actually matters for impact-driven offers
  • The Starbucks rule: they sell coffee EVERY day - stop hiding your offer just because you “already talked about it yesterday”
  • How to use identity statements (“I’m the kind of person who…”) and Mel Robbins-style hacks to beat resistance
  • The exact mindset shift from waiting for your business to perform BEFORE you invest… to investing like it’s already a seven-figure brand

🔥 Mic-Drop Moments

“If you treat your business like a side hustle, everyone else will too - and it will perform like one.”

“You don’t show up based on how you feel. You show up based on your goals and who you’ve decided to become.”

🧘🏽‍♀️ Quick Reflections for Your Next CEO Reset

  1. Am I treating my business like a hobby… or like the life-changing empire it’s meant to be?
  2. What’s one non-negotiable daily action I can commit to this week - no matter how I feel?
  3. If I showed up and sold my offer every single day like Starbucks sells coffee, what would change in 30 days?
  4. Who am I deciding to become: the woman who waits to feel motivated… or the CEO who shows up because lives depend on it?

Transcripts

Trish:

Welcome to Sold Out Sales School, the podcast for women with heart led impact driven offers who are tired of being the Internet's best kept secret.

Trish:

I'm Trish Ware, mom of seven, former labor nurse turned seven figure business owner.

Trish:

And business mentor for B2C brands.

Trish:

If you're marketing to moms, parents, or real people who are not gonna make money off your offer, this show was made for you.

Trish:

You tried the big name coaches, but their strategies weren't built for your audience.

Trish:

Here we do sales differently.

Trish:

No bro marketing, no cold dms, no weird hooks, no fake urgency.

Trish:

Just clear messaging aligned offers and strategy that actually converts.

Trish:

You're not here to hustle harder and miss all your family events.

Trish:

You're here to scale smarter with simplicity.

Trish:

So let's get you sold out.

Trish:

I thought that I would talk about showing up when it's hard because if you are growing an online business and you know I'm speaking from experience here, and I wanna talk about like when you've had to show up.

Trish:

When it gets hard, when life is hard, when life is lifeing.

Trish:

'cause life is not gonna stop lifeing.

Trish:

So building my seven figure birth business.

Trish:

I've gone through hell and back and I've had to show up and I had my client retreat last week.

Trish:

I coach women who are in the impact space, whether it's perinatal or health or wellness or fitness.

Trish:

Something where you're impacting someone's life, not their wallet.

Trish:

So that's, I'm that coach.

Trish:

So not that it wouldn't work for everyone else, but it really what I teach, no one else teaches because I've built an impact driven business.

Trish:

And building an impact driven business is so different than an income driven business, if that makes sense.

Trish:

All right, so what we're gonna talk about is showing up, doing the hustle and treating your business like a real business, because if you treat your business like a side hustle.

Trish:

The people in your life will treat your business like your little side hustle, and it will perform like a little side hustle.

Trish:

However, when you dial in and you treat your business like a real business, here's the thing, this business could change your entire life.

Trish:

Labor Nurse Mama changed my entire life, my entire trajectory, my children.

Trish:

It has completely changed everything for me.

Trish:

One of the things that I did from the get go is I treated it like a real business.

Trish:

I did not treat it like my little hobby.

Trish:

I put real time and effort, real hustle into it.

Trish:

I invested in it before I had the money to invest and it paid off.

Trish:

So.

Trish:

I want to ask you guys like are you waiting for it to perform for your business, to do something for you before you show up consistently?

Trish:

Are you treating it like an actual job?

Trish:

Because if you're not, you need to start right now.

Trish:

You need to be intentional.

Trish:

You need to have an outline of a strategy.

Trish:

Now you don't have to like be all up in arms 'cause this is your business.

Trish:

You get to do what you want, you get to do when you want it.

Trish:

But you have to treat it like a business.

Trish:

If you had a brick and mortar business, you would not just not show up.

Trish:

You would, you wouldn't ghost your business for, for a week.

Trish:

So you need to have a strategy, you need to have a plan, and you need to be consistent.

Trish:

Motivation is gonna come and go.

Trish:

You're, you're not gonna feel like it, you are not gonna feel like creating real, you are not gonna feel like sending an email.

Trish:

You're not gonna feel like communicating sometimes.

Trish:

But discipline is what's gonna build your momentum in all areas of life, but especially in your business.

Trish:

It's the same with parenting.

Trish:

Like you're gonna screw up, right?

Trish:

But you keep going.

Trish:

You keep trying, you keep learning, you keep investing into being a better mom.

Trish:

So if you had a nine to five job, you would not just like, ain't gonna work today.

Trish:

Now, I'm not saying you should have to work every day, but you need to invest time and treat it like a business.

Trish:

The days you don't wanna show up sometimes turn out to be your biggest days.

Trish:

Like there are times that I've gone live and I'm like, I don't feel like it, and I sell 10 classes during that live.

Trish:

So you really need to remember that what you're doing is changing lives.

Trish:

Maybe you don't feel like showing up, but maybe there's a mom who needs to hear what you have to say.

Trish:

Maybe you're a mindset coach and there's a person who needs to hear what you have to say, or you're a fitness person who, like, you've got the thing that this mom needs, or this dad needs, or whoever you're talking to.

Trish:

People need to trust you and they trust you through authenticity, authority, and consistency.

Trish:

Authenticity authority, consistency.

Trish:

Your success will come from those small little daily actions that you don't feel like doing, but you gotta do.

Trish:

And eventually you can delegate to your team.

Trish:

But those are not, not just the big wins, like all of it's gonna be Play into this picture, the email, the outreach, the live it all compounds to build a successful.

Trish:

Business.

Trish:

So instead of saying like, I don't feel like recording a podcast today, I want you to say, what is one thing I can do today to move the needle forward and focus on that one thing?

Trish:

It doesn't have to be a million things.

Trish:

And one of the things I love, Mel Robbins is like everything to me.

Trish:

She said, there's two things I do.

Trish:

One is the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 do it.

Trish:

The other thing is the Let Them Theory and then the other one I really love, and I don't know if this is Mel Robbins or not.

Trish:

I think this is my husband got it from someone, probably Tony Robbins.

Trish:

But it's, I'm the kind of person who.

Trish:

So tell yourself I'm the kind of person who shows up consistently.

Trish:

I'm the kind of person who, treats my business like a real business and not a hobby.

Trish:

I'm the kind of person who validates myself.

Trish:

I don't need validation from selling out my offers or getting tons of engagement.

Trish:

I know that my offer is worth it and I'm gonna keep showing up until it starts selling.

Trish:

'cause it will eventually if you're consistently consistent.

Trish:

So create a non-negotiable schedule.

Trish:

Like this is the schedule set real work hours.

Trish:

Again, it's your business, so you don't have to go crank right here, but set real work hours.

Trish:

It's not just like, I'm gonna work two hours this week.

Trish:

Now, if you're a busy mom like I was, I was working full-time as a nurse, I was getting divorced.

Trish:

I'm homeschooling.

Trish:

I have my kids at home, I've got my baby at home.

Trish:

I had to dedicate weird hours.

Trish:

So I had up at 4:30 AM and I went to bed at midnight sometimes, but I dedicated at some time every single day.

Trish:

I made sure.

Trish:

Remember, your children, your family is more important than your business.

Trish:

So if they're sacrificing,

Trish:

there needs to be a give and take care.

Trish:

You wanna show up and sell every day.

Trish:

Get in your stories every single day.

Trish:

Keep it simple and sell your offer.

Trish:

If they don't know you have it, they won't know you have it.

Trish:

And it's just like I tell my girls, my clients, if Starbucks, they don't just like, oh, today.

Trish:

Today I am not gonna talk about selling coffee.

Trish:

I did that yesterday.

Trish:

I'm not gonna sell it today.

Trish:

No.

Trish:

They sell coffee every day because they know you're coming to get coffee.

Trish:

Let your people know that you are there to sell your offer, that you're there to deliver like a really big win, and to impact their lives consistently.

Trish:

The next thing is hold yourself accountable.

Trish:

Whatever you gotta do, whether it's tracking your progress, setting deadlines, or hiring a coach or a mentor, you need to track your progress and you need to hold yourself accountable.

Trish:

Remember again.

Trish:

Starbucks doesn't just show up some days and sell their offer and then feel bad on the other days.

Trish:

No.

Trish:

They sell their offer every day.

Trish:

Sell your offer every day.

Trish:

Let them know it's there in some form or fashion.

Trish:

So the hard truth is no one's gonna come and save you, not the best coach in the world, not your partner, not the best content in the world.

Trish:

What's gonna save you and what's gonna sell your offer is you consistently showing up.

Trish:

Talking about it being authentic, sharing your authority consistently.

Trish:

So authenticity, authority, consistency.

Trish:

Do those three things consistently.

Trish:

You're going to sell your offers, and it doesn't happen overnight.

Trish:

I don't care what anyone says.

Trish:

Sometimes it can, but the more you show up and the more often you sell your offer, the more offers you will sell.

Trish:

So I'm gonna challenge you guys to show up this week every day in some form or fashion.

Trish:

I don't care if it's hard or not.

Trish:

Like you're gonna have hard days.

Trish:

You should not show up based on how you feel.

Trish:

You should show up based on your goals, what you know you can do.

Trish:

Not, do not let your feelings dictate you this.

Trish:

This is not how you do it.

Trish:

You're gonna decide if you're committed.

Trish:

If you're committed to treating this like a business, you're in it for the long haul.

Trish:

You're gonna wait for the rewards and you're gonna believe that they're coming DM me, and we can have a conversation.

Trish:

I am so passionate about this building an impact driven business is so different than an income driven business, and I hope you guys are hearing me.

Trish:

If your offer is impacting someone's life and not their wallet, then this is where you belong.

Trish:

If today's episode hit home, make sure you hit subscribe, leave a review, and if you're listening on Spotify, drop a comment and let me know what landed.

Trish:

Trish:

And just once someone who actually understands the way her B2C business works because we rise together and as always.

Trish:

That's your cosmic slap on the ass, babe, because action takers are money makers.

Trish:

You're the magic.

Trish:

Don't forget it.

I'll see you next week inside Sold Out Sales school.
