Introduction

Just as God used 40-day periods throughout Scripture for transformation:

• Moses spent 40 days with God on Mount Sinai receiving the commandments (Exodus 34:28)
• The spies explored God's Promised Land for 40 days (Numbers 13:25)
• Elijah traveled 40 days to meet God at Mount Horeb (1 Kings 19:8)
• Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness led by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 4:2)
• Jesus spent 40 days teaching about God's kingdom after His resurrection (Acts 1:3)
