With six individuals missing and presumed dead after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, the U.S. Coast Guard has transitioned its search and rescue operation to a search and recovery mission. Hours after a container ship struck the bridge in the early morning of March 26, a team from the National Transportation Safety Board boarded the ship late Tuesday night to gather evidence for their investigation, according to CNN. Officials obtained the ship’s data recorder, or black box, which the NTSB said would help investigators develop a timeline of the events leading up to the collision.
