Untouchable treasure. Insurance is big-business these days. We insure our phones. Our TV’s. Our cars. Our travel. Our animals. Our health. Pretty much anything of value to us. Because we KNOW that life happens—and that it can change our plans or destroy our resources at any moment. Freak events can happen anywhere, anytime and permanently alter the course of reality. When taken seriously, Jesus’ words offer an incredible alternative to the tentative nature of contemporary life. So how do we take today’s resources and convert them into eternal, untouchable treasure? Quite simply. We leverage today’s resources for the good of others—not on ourselves or to boost our egos—and that act is literally converting today’s resources into untouchable treasure.
