Shownotes

For the next few episodes, I'm going to be sharing with you my favorite quotes. I want to share them with you so that you can hear them, and then ponder them and see how they might apply to your life.

Today's quote is actually a mantra that I made up when I first started my health coaching, when I realized that I had self-care all wrong, I thought it was selfish. Then I heard that self-care is the most selfless act because it allows you to show up and give the world the best of you instead of what's left of you.

Melissa Deally:

Welcome back to another edition of health hack. And for this next few episodes, I'm going to be sharing with you my favorite quotes. I want to share them with you so that you can hear them, and then ponder them and see how they might apply in your life. So I'm taking a course right now it's the most intense course I've ever taken in my life. And I don't have a lot of time to be running HelloFax every single day. And so that's why I thought I would do really short little episodes with my favorite quote, and let you go away and think about them and possibly write in the comments below. What resonates with you, as you hear these quotes. So just Today's quote is actually a mantra that I made up when I first started my health coaching, Institute training. When I realized that I had self care all wrong, I thought it was selfish, and I put everyone else first. And then I heard that self care is the most selfless act. And then I added to that, and said, because it allows you to show up and give the world the best of you instead of what's left of you. So what are you doing for you, in order that you can show up and give the world the best of you and especially loved ones so often when we don't take care of ourselves and we're trying to take care of everyone else. First, we get irritated quickly, we get angry quickly, and we take it out on our loved ones. And instead of that, take care of yourself first. You know the old airplane, put your oxygen mask on first, so that you can show up and give your energy and your love to your family because you have that energy to give. So I would love for you just to think about that, quote. What are you doing for you take into the account that self care is the most selfless act and it allows you to show up and give the world the best of you instead of what's left. If you comment below what resonates with you when you hear that saying
