What does it mean to walk more "circumspectly with God" today on our journey? Join me on the trail, set down you phones, your tablets and unplug from your screen and look up! We will look for the handprints of God on our hearts, and in the world around us. Remembering, honoring, giving thanks and sending our love out to those who came before us, our ancestors, really seeing those who are walking beside us now and our future generations to come as well as our Savior Jesus Christ. All of us walking this earth together one big humankind family through all time and eternity.

Transcripts

Speaker:

Welcome, friends, to the Creative

Spiritual Journey podcast, where Gay

2

:

and I walk with you for just a moment

on this beautiful journey of life

3

:

and share with you the things of our

hearts, the lessons and joys that

4

:

we are experiencing along the way.

5

:

Today's meditation is a walking meditation

6

:

to walk circumspectly.

7

:

Circumspectly means to look around

carefully at how we live and behave.

8

:

But to walk circumspectly with God, I

believe, is to see His handprints on our

9

:

hearts, on all the beautiful creations

around us, His glory, His love for us.

10

:

There is a quote that I love.

11

:

"Faith unfolds by leaving

everything in God's hands and

12

:

beholding His hands in all things."

13

:

So I'm inviting you to take this

meditation on a walk, to walk

14

:

circumspectly, to walk in remembrance.

15

:

to look around, to look up from your

phones, from your tablets and screens,

16

:

and to look up at the sky, the clouds.

17

:

Maybe you're looking at a sunset or a

sunrise or stars or maybe even a moon.

18

:

Look up at the trees.

19

:

Maybe you're looking up canyon

walls or across fields of grain.

20

:

Maybe you have a view of an

ocean or a lake or a river.

21

:

To walk in wisdom, to see the

hand of God, His handprint, His

22

:

signature on all creation, even the

smallest, the rocks at your feet,

23

:

the caterpillars, the blade of grass,

all created by His hands for our joy,

24

:

To walk circumspectly

in our designated time.

25

:

To redeem this time and allow

God the Father and God our

26

:

Mother their will be done.

27

:

To walk forward looking for their

handprints in our hearts, To be wise with

28

:

those precious gifts of time and life.

29

:

To walk on roads blazed by our ancestors,

cross rivers and bridges built by

30

:

our pioneer brothers and sisters.

31

:

To drink from springs still

flowing from long, long ago.

32

:

To leave our handprints, our mark of I

was here on heart walls, on Mother Earth.

33

:

To live free in liberty and justice

fought by our forefathers to show

34

:

honor and remembrance to them.

35

:

Okay, that is a lot of words.

36

:

Why don't we get into the meditation?

37

:

So as you walk,

38

:

circumspectly, aware

39

:

with gratitude, honoring and remembering

40

:

So if you were just

41

:

Breathe, settle into your body

42

:

feeling the breath breathing in

through the nose and out through

43

:

the nose, sensing your body

44

:

Letting go of aches and pains,

letting go of worries and struggles.

45

:

This is your moment to just walk.

46

:

Walk with God.

47

:

Walk in remembrance

48

:

Looking about

49

:

Seeing his hand?

50

:

in all things.

51

:

Having the eyes to see and the ears

to hear and the heart to believe

52

:

Can you hear it?

53

:

She whispers of memorials left behind,

souls who once walked the earth, our

54

:

forefathers, our pioneers, our loved ones

55

:

I was here.

56

:

Remember me?

57

:

Our family

58

:

Brothers and sisters, Earth

59

:

Savior

60

:

Heavenly Mother, Heavenly Father

61

:

Handprints on our hearts

62

:

As we walk this earth, their

love surrounds us in everything

63

:

we see as we experience births,

deaths, love, war, faith, fear,

64

:

stories carried through generations,

marks left upon the walls of time

65

:

Continue just breathing

66

:

with an awareness of breath, awareness

of the sights and sounds around you

67

:

Slowly and deeply allow

your shoulders to soften

68

:

Relaxing your jaw and

settle into this moment.

69

:

Breathe in that fresh peace.

70

:

Breathe out.

71

:

Let go of the hurry to be somewhere.

72

:

Just here and now.

73

:

Slow your pace.

74

:

Breathe in light

75

:

Breathe out.

76

:

Let go of the heaviness

77

:

If you can, place your hand on your heart

78

:

Feel its quiet rhythm and how it too

beats with the pulse of this earth,

79

:

this nature that you're walking through

80

:

His heart, a sacred doorway to your soul

81

:

Let's just for a moment remember

82

:

the handprints left by those who loved you

83

:

Maybe you see a witness of them in

84

:

the world around you right now

85

:

Something that reminds you of your

mom or your dad or grandma or grandpa

86

:

Maybe there's God winks,

something that delights you,

87

:

a white rose, a heart rock, a

feather, or a song of a bird

88

:

Maybe there's some colorful

clouds painting the sky

89

:

This earth that your ancestors roamed

90

:

The life they built

91

:

Just a moment in remembrance,

someone whose love has shaped your

92

:

life and have walked this earth

93

:

Do you remember them?

94

:

And let's just softly repeat

in our minds as we walk,

95

:

looking around, "I remember you

96

:

My heart carries a remembrance of you.

97

:

I honor you.

98

:

I honor you in the way that I walk, the

way I behave, and how I look at life.

99

:

I honor you.

100

:

I thank you for building bridges

and roads, for fighting for

101

:

our liberties and our freedoms

102

:

And I love

103

:

you

104

:

I can't.

105

:

I remember you

106

:

I honor you

107

:

I thank you

108

:

I love

109

:

you Just allow that to

settle deeply into your soul

110

:

Breathing in and shifting your focus

a little bit, noticing something

111

:

around you now that brings you joy

112

:

Carefully at the small things,

the things beneath your feet

113

:

Now let's bring to mind someone

walking beside you in this present

114

:

season of your life, these moments,

building their life with you now.

115

:

Someone whose hands are still

fresh paint upon your heart walls

116

:

Hmm.

117

:

See their goodness, their humanity.

118

:

We all have a weakness,

but we're gonna offer grace

119

:

And see the light of God in them,

the divine light of God in them

120

:

And let's return to our affirmation.

121

:

I see you

122

:

I see your light.

123

:

I see you trying

124

:

I honor you

125

:

I honor you with the way

126

:

I walk towards you the

way I care and nurture

127

:

The way I speak, the way I listen

128

:

I thank you for loving me

129

:

Thank you for having Grace with me

130

:

And I thank you for leaving your

handprint on my heart, walking

131

:

beside me through the storms

132

:

I love you

133

:

Together, we are writing a living story

134

:

We are leaving a legacy

135

:

Breathing in

136

:

Bringing your mind to this

moment and our focus forward.

137

:

If you were to look ahead down the

trail towards children, grandchildren,

138

:

future generations, towards souls

you may never meet in this life, yet

139

:

whose lives will be touched by you

140

:

What handprints are you leaving behind?

141

:

What legacy

142

:

Will they enjoy this earth like you?

143

:

The beauties, the birds, the trees

144

:

What memorial of love?

145

:

Faith, courage, kindness will remain

after you have finished your journey

146

:

And let's imagine those future hearts

remembering you and softly saying

147

:

Remember me

148

:

Remember me when you see a heart rock

149

:

When you see a sunrise, a butterfly

150

:

Zinia

151

:

A cloud that is shaped like an elephant.

152

:

Honor me by the way you walk this earth

153

:

by the way you treat your

brothers and your sisters

154

:

Honor me by the way you love God.

155

:

Walk with Him.

156

:

Carry forward the love I leave with you

157

:

Cross those bridges I have built

158

:

Again, remember me

159

:

Anami

160

:

Carry forward the love I leave with you

161

:

Beautiful.

162

:

Stay present with your breath.

163

:

And now let's turn our hearts

towards our Savior, Jesus Christ

164

:

our Redeemer, who said, "Behold, I have

graven thee upon the palms of my hands.

165

:

Thy walls are continually before me

166

:

His love is an eternal

handprint upon our souls.

167

:

Remember him

168

:

Remember he has delivered us

from sorrows and deaths and sin

169

:

Let's place our hand on

our heart one more time

170

:

Gently repeat, I will remember thee

171

:

I remember

172

:

That I am redeemed because of thee.

173

:

I look to thee

174

:

I honor thee

175

:

I honor thee by the choices

I make today to love greatly,

176

:

to lift and serve another.

177

:

I thank thee for loving me first.

178

:

I thank thee for giving me eternal life.

179

:

I love thee

180

:

I love thee with all my heart,

might, mind, and strength

181

:

If you would just imagine an embrace

182

:

As he walks beside you again

183

:

Can you tell him?

184

:

I will remember thee always

185

:

I honor thee

186

:

I think the, oh, I think the

187

:

And I love

188

:

Hmm.

189

:

We are all bound together in

unseen threads of love, one heart

190

:

One human family across generations

of time and all eternity

191

:

Handprints reaching

192

:

From the past to now to our future

193

:

A witness that we were here and

that we belong to one another

194

:

Now if you would, just taking a good

deep breath and a sigh, and just

195

:

let your body be washed in the joy.

196

:

The joy of remembering, the joy of

belonging, of honoring, of thanking,

197

:

and giving thanks in all things.

198

:

Let your body just be bathed in this love

199

:

You feel it?

200

:

I feel my Savior's love in

all the world around me.

201

:

His Spirit warms my soul

in everything I see.

202

:

He knows I will follow Him,

give all my life to Him.

203

:

I feel my Savior's love,

the love He freely gives me

204

:

May you walk in His light more

circumspectly today is my prayer
