How do you scale a successful coaching business when much of what makes you exceptional happens intuitively?
In this Sacred Business Calibration, Kelle Sparta works with Expert Authority Coach Christine Blosdale, who has moved beyond worrying about where her next client will come from and is ready to explore the next stage of her business: greater scale, leverage, and impact. Christine is considering courses, group programs, and eventually certification—but Kelle identifies an important prerequisite: before you can teach other people to replicate your results, you have to understand and systematize what you actually do.
Kelle recommends analyzing transcripts from past coaching sessions to uncover recurring frameworks, questions, processes, and patterns. Those commonalities can become the foundation of intellectual property, course material, group coaching, and eventually practitioner training. But process alone isn't enough. Christine also needs language for the intuitive insights she naturally brings into her work so that the most distinctive part of her methodology doesn't disappear when someone else learns it.
The conversation also examines positioning. Christine has historically kept the intuitive side of her work relatively quiet. Kelle challenges her to stop leaving that differentiator on the table and instead position intuition as part of her professional methodology—without abandoning the business category in which her clients already understand her value.
For established coaches, consultants, and transformational practitioners ready to move beyond one-to-one delivery, this episode offers a practical framework for turning embodied expertise into scalable intellectual property without stripping away what makes the work uniquely yours.

Welcome back to Spirit Sherpa, where spiritual practitioners learn to master their gifts, grow their businesses, and change lives. I'm your host, Kelly Sparta, transformational shaman and spiritual business coach, and I am here to talk to you today about a how to, how to change your business. Right? We're gonna talk about a
We're gonna do a sacred business calibration, which is my version of spiritual business coaching. Uh, we do a combination of strategic coaching and, uh, intuitive coaching. So we're looking at past lives, we're looking at ancestral lines, all the different things. So if you hear this and you think, "Oh my God, I need one of those for me," you can get it at kellysparta.com.
Just go into the services section and choose the sacred business calibration. Okay. With that said, please remember to like, subscribe, and share, and I'm gonna welcome to the show today our guest guinea pig Christine Blosdale. Thanks for being on the show, Christine. Oh, thank you so much. I'm so excited.
I've been ... I mean, I am really, really excited, and I got my goosebumps going already, so that's- Yay. The- they call it the Blosdale bumps. I call it the Blosdale bumps. And so that's a good sign. We're gonna, we're gonna have fun, I can tell. Uh, we, we were already geeking out together before we even got on the call.
I know. So we started this late. So if I'm talking a mile a minute, that's because I'm like, "Oh, we've gotta get it in on time." Okay. So Christine, tell us a little bit about your business. Yes. So I am, I'm known as the expert authority coach, and I help overwhelmed entrepreneurs of all stripes get seen, get heard, get trusted, most importantly- Mm-hmm
and get paid for what they already know. So we're we, we're getting, take, we take our gifts and we actually put them into a format where you can actually get noticed and, and seen as the expert authority, and then those beautiful clients will be magnetized to you. That's, so that's me in a nutshell. And where can they find you if they're curious about more?
Yeah. It's, it's super easy. You can go to expertauthoritycoach.com, and on that website is a way for you to have an absolutely complimentary consultation with me, and I, 'cause I have to sit down and, and hear what your business is about, but they can do that at expertauthoritycoach.com. Awesome. Okay. Yeah.
So you signed up for this call with me- Um, tell me what aspect of your business would you like to talk about? What is it that I can help you with? You know, I... What's interesting is I feel that personally I've gone over this, this hill that I had for a while where I was wor- I, you know, I used to be worried about getting enough clients and making enough, uh, you know, reve- uh, revenue, generating enough revenue.
And now I'm actually, I feel that I'm in s- I'm sitting on top of the hill, looking down at this beautiful, like, you know, acres of land, and I feel that I'm... There is a magnet- magnification or a magnetization. I feel like I'm drawing a lot of the people that I really, that I really n- need and deserve and, and want to work with.
That's 'cause, that's another thing. As you know, as a coach- Very important ... w- you know, it's one thing to have a client, and it's another thing to have a magnificent client. Yeah. So I feel that I'm, I'm, I'm there already, and I just wanna, I just wanna amplify that because it's a great feeling. People come to me and I'm like, I wanna say, "Where have you been, darlin'?
I've been waiting for you," right? So I don't have that stress anymore. I don't have that, "Oh, I've gotta make more money," or I've, you know, uh... And once, when a client leaves to go on to do other things, there is no, no icky feeling. You know that icky? Yeah. There's none of that. That feeling of abandoned.
There's no- Yeah, yeah. So I really want, I would really love to, to learn, um, or to, to know- how to, how to continue that and, and to magnetize those, those folks to me. And then also the next step, like where I can expand, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. What's the next thing? Um, that's very interesting to me. If it's a big-ticket program, great, whatever.
Um, or if it's to do some sort of certification, you know, expert authority certification. I just know it's on the... It's there. Yeah. I just don't know what it is yet. Yeah. So my sense is that, uh, the first... So before you can certify others, you first have to, uh, structure and systematize yourself. Yeah. Yeah.
Right. So have you done that? To some extent, because the work that I do is so customized- Right ... you see? Okay. So it, it- So you and I were talking before- Yeah ... the call, and you were saying, you know, "Have I taken my podcasts and turned them into a book yet?" and stuff like that. Yeah. Have you taken your coaching calls and taken the transcripts and had AI strip the, the, uh, calls and take the commonalities?
Have you had AI do that for you yet? No, but I... But that's doable, 'cause I- Yeah ... Charlie is my ChatGPT, and he knows me quite well. Right. So this is, this is what I'm saying. The very first- Mm-hmm ... thing I would do if I were you, and you're looking to do the next piece, is I would take as many transcripts of client calls, feed them into ChatGPT, and have them, uh, have it strip out the commonalities, right?
What are the things you talk about over and over and over again, right? Gotcha. Because those are the things that- Yeah ... you can systemize into a course. Gotcha. Right? Mm-hmm. And that's how you start to train other people how to do what you do. Now, the other thing, because I train spiritual coaches too, right?
So I train people to do, uh, not exactly what I do 'cause I'm doing the business side too, and most people don't have the background to do that. But, um, to do the spiritual coaching side, um, the, the work that I do with them when I, when I laid out the program, in addition to teaching them the business stuff, I also had to teach them how to coach, right?
Yes, yes. And so part of it's gonna be defining how to coach. How do you coach people? How do you walk them through the process? What is the step-by-step process? And then you're also, because your process as you described it to me before this, is very, uh, body-based, very kinesthetic- Mm-hmm ... very feeling oriented.
Right. And so you're testing... What, what you're doing, you need language for what you're doing, right? So what you're doing- Yeah ... is you're energetically testing their field with the different ideas that you're coming up with with them. And what you're doing is you're putting that idea into their field and seeing how it resonates or doesn't.
R- right. Right. Okay? And so- And you know, you know right away if they go, "I would, I would not like to do that." Yeah. Or, you know, if you go, "Oh, that's... They're excited about it, but that does not feel good," right? Yes. Because they can be excited about something and have it not be a good fit in the long run. Yes.
Right? Yeah. Because there are people who just love to do something new, and they'll be excited about it until they get there, and then they go, "Oh, this is unsustainable, and I hate it." And then they have disappointment. Yeah. Exactly. Okay. So you can, you can feel that that's gonna be the case if you're testing the field for the future, right?
Yeah. And so you're doing an intuitive process with this. You, you need to start developing language around that intuitive process to explain exactly to them what you're doing, and I'm not sure that you are fully conscious of everything you're doing right now. Hmm. So that, that could be a little bit of a challenge because- Okay
I d- I, I feel like there's a... You're, you're, you're getting the information, but if you had to explain to somebody else how you're getting the information, that you're not gonna h- be able to say all of it, right? Right. You don't have the language to explain it yet, right? Right. So- Right, okay ... the, you need to develop the language to talk about what it is that you're doing.
On the intuitive side. Exactly. Yeah. Right. If you're gonna- It's not based on the- ... you're gonna try and train- It not, it's not the business side or the branding side- Correct ... 'cause- Yeah, that stuff- Yeah ... you've got down. That's not- Okay. I... Okay, yeah. Okay, I see, I see what you're saying. Yeah, because you're trying to duplicate you, right?
And you're not- Yeah, a mini-me. You're not gonna end up with you unless you teach the intuitive piece that you're doing. Okay. All right Right? So, you know, you'll g- you'll get people who understand the process and are, you know, smart and intelligent about it, and they've got the ideas and whatever, but they're not gonna get the type of results you get because they're not using the intuitive process.
Right. Okay. Right? I like that. And when we started talking, you said, "Well, you know, I don't... I, I do an intuitive business, but I don't really talk about the fact that I do that because, you know, people might, you know, not like it and whatever." And I'm like, "No, you need to talk about it." Right? Because it's a differentiator.
Do you know how many people there are who talk about authority? Oh my God, I just gag every time somebody comes up. I, I get people in my DMs, like, every three days, "Hey, do you da, da, da." I'm like, "No, leave me alone," you know? It's like, but nobody comes in and says, "Oh, have you ever, you know, worked with somebody who has an intuitive approach to this?"
Nobody says that. That's a differentiator. Why are you leaving it on the table? Why are you- Gotcha ... staying in the spiritual closet, you know? Right. Come out. Come out of the spiritual closet. Come on. And so- I love that ... yeah. So, so I can, um... And that will draw... 'Cause I was saying, too, before we hit record, that, uh, I seem to be, in the last few months, drawing quite a few ps- psych- very gifted mediums and psychics and things like that.
Um- Well, and even therapists, 'cause you said you're working with therapists who- And therapists. Lots of therapists and psychologists I get so many therapists in my programs. Oh, so many therapists in my programs, okay? Yeah. Therapists, psychologists, they love this stuff, okay? So- Yeah ... just, you know, come out.
And by the way, can I say, too- Yeah Don't let... I, okay, I hope my other clients aren't listening, but some of my favorite clients are the psychics and the mediums. Right? Because they're just open. They're like- Ah ... they're open to it. They're so open to it. And also, as a coach, when a psychic or a medium chooses you, that's a great stamp of approval.
Yes. Because they're a psychic, so Yes ... do you know what I'm saying? I do. You don't have to p- you don't have to prove yourself or anything like that. They're like, "Nope, I pick you. You're good." Yeah. Yeah. They're like, "The end." Yeah. So, okay, so I can, so I can lean into that. I can u- use- Please lean into that
okay. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Cool. Because, you know, it's a, it's a great differentiator 'cause, you know, there's a million- Yeah, you're right ... different authority coaches. You know, this is, this is something that you do that they don't, right? And so- Would you say using, using the framework, um, and around the words, um, intuit- using in, in my- Intuitive
intuitive- Yeah ... as opposed to psychic, right? Yes. I would use- Yeah ... intuitive as opposed to psychic because psychic puts you in a different category- Yes ... and it, it's sort of divorced from business, and you want to still be in the business category. Yeah. So yeah, I would say intuitive- Okay ... um, because that, that stays in the business category.
Gotcha. Yeah. Yeah, it feels better. It feels better too. Yeah. You can use intoi- intuitive. You can use transformative, transformational if you... 'Cause I've, my sense is that you are doing transformation with people, so. Yes. Um, yeah. So that's, all of those are, are perfectly lovely ways to frame it. Okay. Um, the- The word insights is another one that you're gonna use, right?
Discover, uncover, um Yeah. Your Charlie, your, your, your Charlie will tell you all the good words. Charlie's- So- Yeah ... um- Charlie's, Charlie's a good, Charlie's a good employee I need to meet my ChatGPT I have a conversation with it every day. I should, should name it, but- Um, anyway, the, uh, but the, the... If you want to step into the certification process, and I, I, I'm gonna give you some warnings about that, because I've been doing this for a long time.
And the, the thing you have to have in place if you're going to certify others to do what you do- Mm-hmm ... is you have to have all the s- all the stuff that gets them out of their own way. Mm. 'Cause anybody who's gonna be coming through looking for a certification, they generally have never run a business before.
Right. Um, or if they have, it's very different type of business. They will often resist all the marketing that they have to do. They- Well, do you, do... Quick question. Yeah. Do you see, do you feel, see, feel, see, see, see, feel... Do you, um, a different route for me of what's, what's something that can expand the work that I do?
Because certification may not be it, right? Yeah. I'm just looking at ways to, to sort of- I feel like you- ... expand ... I feel like you do a very s- specific thing with people, and then you don't have anything after that for them to do with you. Mm. Mm. And- Mm-hmm ... you know, why would you be letting go of the people that already know, like, and trust you?
Right. And to only have to throw them to the, the winds and find new people, right? Right. So how long does your process generally take? Well, I have a, uh, I have a th- three-month minimum, 'cause I need those, I need those three months with people to transform anything. Yeah. And then after the three months, they're welcome to stay with me, which many do, um, and just do continual after that.
Um- Yeah ... and- And what does the continual look like? Is it just refining the brand and that sort of thing? It's, yeah, it's dealing with just the, you know, day to day. And there's so many different things that we can work on, so we continually work on it. Especially if they are a gifted, a medium or, um, therapist or psychologist, getting them booked on shows, getting them comfortable being interviewed, you know, all that good stuff.
Um- So are you- ... and working on the, the projects that they're d- d- dealing with. Are you coaching them or are you doing done for you, or what, what are you doing? Mostly it's, it's n- 99% it's, it's, it's coaching them, but there's some things that I help them along... I hold their hand along the way. Okay. Right?
Yeah. The, the, if, especially if I'm, if I'm guiding them to have their own branded podcast- Mm-hmm ... uh, they're great at just turning, hitting record and, and doing their genius, but then they don't wanna w- deal with all the nitty-gritty and the editing and all that stuff. So some, some clients have me do that for them as well.
Okay. So that's, so that's the first idea is to develop a done for you level, right? Mm-hmm. And so you bring in contractors to do the, like, editing and stuff, that you don't need to do that. Mm. You can hire other people to do that. Yeah. And so you do a done for you level, which is, you know, they still have to be involved because, you know, they have to be involved.
But, um, the, the done for you level, so your price point is, like, two and a half times your regular level for a done for you. Maybe three times higher, right? Yeah. Could be five times higher, depending on where you're starting. Um, but then, you know, that way people who don't want to do it, which a lot of the psychics and, and people like that, they don't wanna do the tech at all.
They hate the tech, right? They're, in fact, often tech-phobic. So- Right. Right ... um, the, the more you can take off their plate, the better, right? So, uh, that would be the first thing I would do is develop a- another, the second level of your existing program work. Gotcha. How long does the average client stay with you?
There's some that just do that. I think there's some that will just do the three months, and then there's others that stay longer that do a year to two years, you know, they'll, they'll be with me. And what's the difference between those two clients? I think i- i- it's economics for people. Okay. You know?
Okay. They have... They're like, "Okay, I can budget this in for these three months or maybe even four." Mm-hmm. And then they're like, "Okay, no, I need to, I need to s- save my money, or I need to put my money into something, you know, something else." Okay. So, um, what I would say is if you could work with people for what you consider to be the optimal amount of time, what amount of time would that be?
I have an accelerator program which is four sessions a month, or basically weekly. Mm-hmm. Where I start with people, 'cause I need that high touch point. And then, um, many times I'll move them to momentum, which is two sessions a month, so it's every other, every other week. Yep. That seems to be really good for connecting back with them.
We knock out a lot of great work. They're excited, they're, they've got their ho- homework assignment or exercises that they need to do, the stuff that they need to get. You need to get headshots. You need to get a good headshot so we can create your media kit. Okay, right, I'll do that in the next, you know, week or two weeks.
Right. So I think the momentum is, um, is really good after the basics. Okay. You know, after, after working very closely with them, then doing the every other week is, is lovely. 'Cause if it goes further than that, then it, then it's very difficult. They fall off. You know, not fall off, but they- It's just, it's a lot of work
they're sidetracked. Yeah. Yeah. They get sidetracked. They, they, they lose momentum, so. Yeah. Um, okay. So I see another potential for you- Mm-hmm ... which is a, a group program- Mm-hmm ... for the people who can't afford after the third month. Hmm. Okay. So you put them into a, uh, a group program whereby you hot seat people, you give people assignments, you, you have...
So you have certain things that you want the people to do when they hit that point where they're shifting, right? Mm-hmm. 'Cause I'm assuming that you're going from the four times a week to the momentum would be that fourth month. Is that right? For some people, yeah. Yeah. For some people. A l- a lot of times, uh, they'll go past it.
They'll, they might be working with me, uh, weekly for six months, seven months, and then something happens where they go, "You, you know what? I lost a client," or, "This, this has happened, I have to put the, you know, money towards this. I still wanna work with you." Yeah. "I just don't, I'm not able to, to do it at that level."
Or their schedule. A lot of times people are just really busy. Yeah. Okay. So then I'll move them to that. Yeah. So the other piece that, that... So, so there's a p- there's a process you walk the average person through, right? Mm-hmm. And so what I want you to do when you go through all of your client calls is I want you to really, you know, lay out what that process is.
Mm-hmm. And then you can turn that into a course. Okay. Okay? You, the, the course thing has come up twice this week with- Right ... for me. So what you're gonna do is you do a, a hybrid course. So you do a group coaching program with the course material being the thing that keeps them structured. Right. And the coaching calls, you know, so you'll do, you'll do live coaching calls every week.
Mm-hmm. And they get hot seated And so they have to sign up in advance to get on that h- hot seat, right? And so you'll have everybody send their questions in advance and say, you know, "What, what are your questions?" And then you pick the people to hot seat based on the questions, because you'll get... It, the, the way that this works is that the morphic field of the group is going to be doing the same thing at the same time.
You're gonna have like- Right ... uh, it- Right ... there's groups of people who would do different pieces, and so you choose a representative person to represent the, the questions- Right ... that you have. So if you got 100 people in the group and you got 30 questions, you're gonna pick five people that cover the six things that those 30 questions were about, right?
Okay. And so that's, that's how you do that. And so the... You'll bring them in and you'll hot seat them, and then you can decide, it's up to you. Um, I, I think in, in business coaching, it's important to have live calls. Absolutely. Um, I don't, uh, you know, we do, in my program, m- in my professional spiritual certification, um, practitioner certification, we have both live coaching calls and we do Marco Polo check-ins.
Marco Polo's an asynchronous video chat, right? Mm-hmm. Um, and so we, we do that because sometimes people need help when it's not a call time. Correct. And they're like, "Uh, I have, I have a time-specific issue and I need to know," right? And so we have them do that, uh, for the Marco Polo. It also gets them used to talking on video, which is important for marketing online.
Um, but on the live calls, there's more interaction. There's more, you know, questions and things like that. I mean, you can do it in Marco Polo, uh, but it's not as free flow, right? No. Right, right. Um, and so we have people in groups on the Marco Polo, and so I think you could probably do that. We do small groups in Marco Polo, because you don't wanna overwhelm people, okay?
Right. Now, I have a coach who, who moderates those groups. So, um, I would highly recommend that you not be the person moderating the groups, because- Mm ... that gets to be a lot. Um- Right ... yeah. But in the beginning, you'll be the person who moderates the groups, right? Until you, you get up and running. But if you're doing weekly calls, the groups shouldn't be too heavy duty if you do Marco Polo too.
And the, the, what you're seeing is the, like, the weekly calls along with, um, a, would you, a course- course outline. So would I do the, would I build the course first- Build the course first ... and then, and then develop the, what the, what the group membership is gonna be? 'Cause it's like a subscription I would guess, right?
Yeah. So, well, um, no, it's not a sub- well, if you're doing a course, the course is gonna mete out over a specific period of time, and so your, your initial thing should be- Okay ... um, you know, they're buying the course and the time to go through the course, right? So, like, if it's a 15-week- It's a set period ... or eight s- Yeah
eight-week, eight-week course, let's say. Well, I would say- So but you're only... So then you're, then you're only gonna be with them for those eight weeks. So, yes and no. Okay, so- Uh-huh ... so you have... A- and this is why I was asking you what do you do with your clients during that first three months, right?
Mm-hmm. Because that first three months is the transformation time, right? Right. And so I'm anticipating the course will be three months, maybe four- Okay ... for you to go through everything, okay? Okay. And so the, so you've got that as the course, and they're buying into that, and they get, you know, weekly calls, group calls with that.
And then they have the option to continue for a regular flat monthly fee.
And st- still within that group Within that group dynamic, yes. Okay. And so- So, so not moving them to pri- to one-on-ones with me. It's, that's- No, unless they choose to. They could. Right. They could upgrade. Right. That's always an option, right? Okay. Right. But this group is the people who couldn't afford it, right?
So- Correct ... um, you're giving them a way to have access without getting one-on-one access, right? Correct. So, but the, so they can continue as long as they want for a monthly fee that's less than what you charge them for the course monthly, right? Yeah. Because they're not getting course materials with it, right?
Right. Right. So, um, but it's still a good price point that means that they've committed, right? So I always tell people I'm gonna stay above, stay above the $300 a month mark. Say above it ... above it. Okay. 'Cause when you get to 250, people will say, "Yes, I can afford it," and then three months down the road they can't, and then you spend your whole life chasing them for 250 bucks.
Right. It's not worth it. Okay? So if you hit 300, 350, in that range, somewhere in there, that's when people commit and they actually can afford it. Correct. And the only time you're ever chasing them down for cash is if they had a card stolen or, you know, card expired or whatever. Okay? This'll be, this will be like a, this will be a new creation for me because I already, I have an existing...
I have a mastermind for, but it's for women in business. Mm-hmm. And it's, it's specific because there's an ener- there's a vibe and an energy completely different. And the mastermind's been going on for several years. It's a very small group, but they share me, right? And that's every other week. So something like this with the time commitment of weekly- Mm-hmm
would be substantial. So yeah, I can see charging more for that, um, and opening it up to my male clients as well, 'cause I've got female and male. Right. Majority, majority of women, but quite a few- What do you charge for your, your one-on-one right now? My one-on-one? Uh, well, my one-on-one in the Momentum, it's 597 a month, so that's two sessions a month, and for Accelerator it's nine, um...
What is it? Seven, what is, what is my pricing on that? It's any- ni- uh, 9 s- 997 a month for Accelerator, and that's four sessions a month, so it's, that's weekly. That's insanely cheap. Of course. Just so you know. For a single session, for a single session, it's, uh, it's fi- uh, what do we have? 497 for a single session.
Yeah. Yeah. But that's, that's insanely cheap. So, um, yeah. So four sessions a month one-on-one is a, is $1,000. Yes. And then four sessions a month in a group is 350, right? That's completely reasonable. Okay. Right? Yep. So- Got it ... um, and it's a, it's a jump down that people can, can make. Correct. So it also makes your 597 one look more attractive.
So if they can't do 997 and you say, "Well, you can do four calls a month with a group where you may or may not get on the hot seat, but you'll learn from everybody else. And, and, uh, you know, you can ask to be on the hot seat and whatever." Um, and that's for 350, right? Now, if you're gonna add in the Marco Polo, you may wanna add that price, you might wanna bring that price up to 500.
Okay? And what's the Marco Polo? 'Cause that's a lot of extra work. Is that a, is that a, is that a program? Is that a, um- It's an app. Oh, it's an app. It's asyn- Okay. Yeah, it's asynchronous video chat. So if you've ever, like, sent a video through WhatsApp or Messenger and, you know, somebody watched your video and then respond...
I'm... You've probably done it with audio, right? You've sent- Yeah ... audio messages from through Messenger or through LinkedIn or whatever, right? Um, it's the same idea, but you're just doing video messages. They also have an audio function, but most of it's video messages. Okay. Oh, it's like a, like Loom or what are those other, those programs?
Yeah, it's kind of... Well, I mean, it, it is and it isn't, because it's, it, the way it shows up in the screen is that, um, there's a s- there's a whole series of videos that are, like, you know, going back in time of different people talking, because it's a group, right? Oh, okay. So people have ac- So ... access, the group has access to that- Yeah
Marco Polo room or whatever. You, you post something to the group and then people respond back or- Oh, okay ... someone asks a question. Okay. And everybody sees everybody's video, right? Gotcha. Okay. Yeah. And so it's a- I gotcha ... it's an ongoing conversation. Um, and so, you know, if they... And, and you might wanna, you know, you could make it an upsell too.
You could make- Yeah ... 350 for the four calls a month and then an extra 100, or, you know, $97 for the additional Marco Polo, right? Okay. Cool. It's another way I'll check that out. I haven't heard of that And that keeps you from having too many people in the groups, right? Yeah. Yeah. But you wanna keep the groups small because trust me, people will say things which will trigger other people to say things, which will trigger other people to say things.
So the smaller the pod the better, right? Um- Yes. So- And I'm very protective of my groups as well. Yeah. Because one-on-one I can, I can control the situation and- Right ... even if I have a client that's, that's a little odd bird, uh, that's okay. But in a, in a group scenario, I am very protective of the group. Uh- Yeah, you have to be.
Yeah ... especially my women- I actually have in my contract- ... my women in business group ... yeah, in my contract it says, "If you are aggressive or dangerous to others in the group, you will be summarily ejected and no refund due." Right? Yeah. Yes. Um, I've never had to s- throw anybody out yet, but but I am prepared, right?
Because I'm not- I've steered people- ... I'm not allowing it ... I've steered, I've steered some... 'Cause it, 'cause the one that I have now, the ma- the, it's, it's women in business. Yeah. And I've steered a couple, uh, women away from it. Like, you know, like, "Look over here." You know? Yeah. "No, you don't wanna join the, the mastermind."
But, um, but for the most part they're, they're, they're all very, very lovely. Yeah. I also, I have a, a transgendered, uh, person that is in my group, and so I am very protective of her- Yeah, you have to be ... and, um, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's almost like you can apply for membership. Right. You know? That's, I think that's, and that's how I think I have to formulate it instead of, yeah, instead of just signing up for it, you know, apply.
If you wanna be a member, you have to apply, and then I have to have an interview with you, and I have to, like, make sure that you're a good person. Okay. Be careful- ... having to interview people- I'm being facetious ... who are paying 350 a month is not gonna be worth your time to do. Right? I know. I'm just being, I'm being s- I'm being, uh, a little- I understand
over the top ... but just be careful. Because that's, that's something that we want to do, but it's just as easy... And, you know, having been doing this for, you know, the last eight years of running these groups, actually nine years of running these groups, um, the, the thing that I will tell you is that everybody is generally very well-behaved.
Yes. Yeah. And the, the, the problem person is a rare bird. Absolutely. And so you usually can suss them out in the first call I have given somebody their money back on the first call because I was like, "Yep, you're not a good fit. You need to go," right? Yeah. I was just like, "This is not gonna be a good match."
Um, but, you know, the... You don't have to, to curate as much as you think you do is what I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah. So- Gotcha ... and, you know, they will, they will reveal themselves very quickly if it's a problem generally. Okay. I like this. So the, I will say red flags are if they say, "Nobody's ever been able to help me," and da, da, da, da, da.
Those are red flags. Stay the hell away from those people. Okay? I promise you that, uh, all the people who have ever victimized them before, you will be on that list within the next six months, because that's who they are. They find b- the ways to feel victimized. So don't, don't- Yeah ... let anybody in your program who says that, those kind of stuff.
Yeah. And just a quick question. On your, on those hot seat, w- you know, on those weekly calls, 'cause, 'cause that's, um, still a time commitment from, from me, right? Yeah. Um- But if you've got- And depending on the group, because if I've got two people in the group just when I'm first starting, that's a great deal for them because it's weekly.
Oh, it, it's always a great deal for them in the beginning. Yeah. That's why you need to go fast. But how long do you have, how long are those calls? How long do you, would you justify? How long are those- I would start them at an hour, and then- Okay ... may- you know, when you've got a lot of people on the call, make them 90 minutes max.
Yeah. Okay. I, I always say never make anything last more than the, the length- ... of somebody's butt, and 90 minutes- It, it- ... is about the limit of the adult butt. 90 minutes is the, is the max, yeah. So, um, because nobody wants to be on a call longer than that. No, all those network events- An hour is, is a- Oh, yeah
an hour is a nice sweet spot, but sometimes when, right, you're getting really into, like, breakthrough stuff, and then it's like, "Okay, bye." No. So, uh, so that hour to the, the 60 to 90 minutes is good. Yeah. Okay. So- Perfect ... and, and you know, if you don't want to be doing 90 minutes... And you know, when I only have two people in a group, because you always have a starting point when you're starting a new group, right?
Yeah. If I've only got two people in a group, then I, I, I tell them, I'm like, "We're gonna deal with what you have to deal with, and then we're gonna be done with the call. We're not gonna take up, uh, the hour just because you guys happen to be here. So I want you guys- Right ... to be succinct 'cause I want you to get, get good at being succinct, because when I add five more people into this program, I don't want you to feel like you don't know how to do it."
Right. Right. Right. Preparing them, yeah. And so you train them on how to be succinct, and you're like- Gotcha ... "Neither of us, you know, none of us have time to just sit around and shoot the shit." No. "We've got things to do, so let's be-" We're busy. "... let's be focused." Exactly. Okay, so if there's- Beautiful ... two people, I say 15 minutes each.
Yeah, okay. People can- They go, yeah ... they can check in really heavily in, in 15 minutes. They can get everything done if they're focused. Okay. Yeah, if you give them that hour, they'll talk. And I'm, I'm good at corralling people. If I feel that- Yeah ... they're going to, I can... I don't have a problem. Yeah. So, um, yeah.
So the... So I see you're missing two tiers in your business right now. You've got the mid-tier- Mm-hmm ... but you don't have the, the high ticket, and you don't have the low ticket. Right. The high ticket in particular is... Yeah. The done for you is a lot more work than the, than the low ticket. Yeah. Just so you know.
Yeah. Because now you're having to manage contractors, and you're having to be responsible for their work, and you're having to supervise, and it's, it's, it's a lot. I don't like that. I don't... Yeah. And that's why- I'm a control freak. I- Yeah ... I like to have control, full control over the ship. Right. Um- Well, that's gonna be something you're gonna have to address later, because you, you're not gonna be able to grow your business and stay a control freak, just so you know.
That's the hard part. That's- Yeah. I know. Rah, rah, rah, rah. But, but that's gonna be... You gotta learn how to trust other people- Uh-huh ... and trust them in a way that is trust but verify, not- So typically, when, when I talk to business owners, one of the things that they have is this, this issue with trust, and the trust is I can't trust you, and then I trust you implicitly.
So it's one or the other. I trust you implicitly with my life, or I can't trust you at all, right? And there's no in between. And, and actually healthy trust is I trust you to do the job that you say you're gonna do, and I'm gonna verify that that's the case, that you've done it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Right? Mm-hmm.
And so that's a healthy version of trust and supervision. But you, you know, especially with, with female entrepreneurs, we end up with situations where we tend to mother because that's the model we've been taught. No. And that is bad. Let us- Yes ... not mother our s- our, our employees, our, our staff, our contractors.
Um, or we micromanage- Mm-hmm ... which is helicopter parenting, if to put it in parenting terms. Um, or we abdicate, and when you abdicate and you just say, "Well, that's yours. You go do it, and I'm gonna go over here, and I'm gonna just, like, go do something else, and that, that's off my plate. I don't have to think about it," and y- you really can't do that with a contractor generally.
Nope. You know? No. Unless they are an e- they have to be an exceptional contractor for you to be able to pull that off. Um, so the average contractor, especially if you're hiring out of the Philippines or out of, uh, India or Pakistan, uh, you absolutely can't do that with them. Okay? You, you- I'm wondering if there's a different model because instead of ins- instead of doing that, because I'm surrounded by so many really...
Uh, I mean, and I know bec- I'm a guest on podcasts of very f- you know, phenomenal people who are experts, and they have their own skill sets and things that they can do. Mm-hmm. I'm wondering instead of, like, hiring somebody or h- you know, dealing with a contractor from another country, about offering their services within my services.
So it gets a, it gets something done that I n- that I would love to have done for my clients, but I'm not the one doing it. Yeah. But it's someone who is verified and who I know. You know what I'm, you know what I'm saying? You, you know what I'm saying? I do, and I'm, I'm doing that in my program, right? I'm negotiating a deal with GoHighLevel provider to provide services for my people, right?
That's what I mean. I'm not delivering that, right? Yeah, that's- I don't wanna- ... that's what I'm talking about ... I don't wanna be answering tech questions. I have zero interest, right? I got goosebumps on that one. Yeah. So that is something doable. The hard part, though, is if they don't deliver. No, no, no. They, they're already vetted.
They would, they would be- Yeah ... already vetted. In other words- I understand. Yeah. I, I do, and I want you to be aware that, uh, the most vetted person ever will have, um, you know, a horrible accident and be in the hospital and can't deliver, or, you know- That's understandable ... you know, these things happen, right?
But I, I, I would, I would think that- Or they- ... that would have a higher trust factor than somebody that's in the Philipp- you know, like- Right ... nothing wrong with people in the Philippines, but- I'm not arguing- ... what I'm saying is- ... that. I'm just saying- Yeah ... what you as a business owner need to be prepared for is the day- Is-
that happens. Yeah, absolutely. Because you recommended them. They're... Your clients are going to them, and now they're not delivering. No, no, no. I'm- Do you have a plan for what you're going to do to shift them to somebody else? You always need a backup. No, I'm not... Yeah, and I'm, I'm not talking about- Right
just, like, s- shifting somebody over there, because it's still gonna be part of my program. Part of my offer, right, is my services and the things, but c- complementing, complementing, supplementing my program is in- are included are these things. Let's, an example, I have somebody who's- Right ... brilliant with human design.
Yes. Right? Yeah. I- I- I hear what you're saying. Yeah. I, I don't think you're hearing what I'm saying, okay? So let me, let me try and say it again. Because you're offering it through your company, it is your company's reputation that's on the line if your contractor does not deliver, right? So you need to have an, and for whatever reason they don't deliver, either they, they're going through a terrible divorce, somebody in their family died, you know, they had a horrible accident, whatever.
And whatever reason that they have that's a good reason, they're still not delivering. And so you need to have a plan to know- Mm-hmm ... who you're going to go to if that happens. Oh, yeah. Right? Absolutely. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, absolutely. You need to have a second and a third choice. Yeah, absolutely.
Because if the second one's not available in that moment, you need to have a third one to jump to, right? I'm a producer from way back, so I always have a- There you go. You understand ... a backup plan. Yeah. Backup plan. Absolutely. Backup plan and a backup plan for your backup plan, right? That's, yeah, that's understandable.
If you're putting your reputation on the line for other people's delivery, you need to know exactly what you're gonna do. That's it. And that's what it comes down to. Oh, it was your dog I was hearing. Gotcha. I thought it was outside. Yeah, I just had him in. I was like, "I don't recognize that dog." She's a toy poodle.
She's- We've got a million dogs in here. I just never know. She always waits until I'm on a show. Oh, always. It's a moral imperative. It's, it's, it's- Yeah ... the doggy, doggy, uh, thing that they do, so. Yeah. Um, okay. So, uh, the- So you've got your thing, and I, I think that's a great idea. I love the idea that you're going to outsource, because I don't wanna do things I don't wanna do, right?
And I'm a big fan of, you know, who can I get to do this for me, right? So, um, you know, the, the whole process of doing that is... It's important though, ba- a- and I'm, I'm pretty sure you already have this down, but I'm gonna say this for anybody who might be listening. Um, if you're going to hire a contractor, you need to make sure it's somebody you like and somebody that their values are your values.
Because your clients are coming in, and they're coming in because they like your values, and if you put them with a contractor who does not have the same value structure and the same way of doing business, they're gonna be unhappy even if they're getting what they asked for That's, that's why I usually don't, I don't like to, to lose the reins of control.
Because I- I do too ... I'm, I'm, I'm in full control of how I behave and how I f- uh, fulfill my, my, my, my responsibilities. But having somebody else, sometimes that can be, um- Right ... a bit difficult, yeah. But I'm just saying that partnering at this level is, is similar to going into a marriage with somebody, right?
You need to make sure that there's a values match, that you need to make sure you're on the same page. You need to make sure that your priorities are the same, right? You need to know if they're cash-strapped or not because i- or if they're overdone, right? There's a lot of ways in which a partnership cannot be jointly profitable, right?
And I'm not talking about, like, a official legal partnership, but, like, a, a joint venture where you're, we're working together like this. Correct. Okay. That's, this is what a joint venture is- Right ... for those of you who don't know. Um, so the, the, the challenge for you here is gonna be find people that will have that values and, and priority match, and you need to know what they're gonna do.
Y- you need to interview them and say, "Okay, if a client's unhappy, what do you do? I need to know. How do you fix it? If a client asks for their money back because they're so u- unhappy, what do you do? Do you have the money to give it to them? We need to be honest with each other," right? That sort of thing. So these are the...
A- and you need to negotiate how you g- how you pay them, right? Because I would not pay them in full until they're fully done with their project, right? Right. Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. So these are other things that you have to negotiate as you go through the process to make sure you've got that covered, so that if you do have to pull them out and go somewhere else, you have the funds already to do that, and that- Okay.
I'm, I'm just sitting here going, "I don't, I don't know if I wanna deal with all that." I don't, I, I mean- And this is why I'm saying I would start- Yeah ... with the lower ticket program first. Yeah. Definitely. 'Cause you already have people who want to be in that program because they can't afford the, the higher ticket one.
And so, you know, I would start with the lower ticket program first. It'll w- be easier to deliver, it will be easier to manage, and it will be easier to fill because you're already having calls with people who can't afford, and now you can say, "Hey, we've got this now," and, and you're gonna salvage people that you already have sales calls with.
So- Gotcha. Right ... that's the lowest hanging fruit for you Okay. Yeah. Yeah. That makes sense. No, that makes sense. And I think also- Yeah, I do the done for you last, and I don't- Yeah ... I, I often don't do it because I don't, I don't wanna. I don't wanna. I know. I understand that completely. I- Yeah ... I have so many things to do.
Oh my goodness. Okay. Yeah. But, you know, and this is why I'm saying pick one thing, right? Don't, don't try and do multiple things. Pick one thing, and then do that. Um, and I agree. I think that doing this expansion of your existing business is a better choice than trying to certify people. That's a whole- Yeah
separate business, right? Yeah. Yeah. And it's, and it's, uh, it's easily implemented- Yeah ... which is key. Yeah. Yeah. And, and if you use AI to help you generate your, your course material, you're gonna be... It, it really doesn't take that much time. Oh, no, I have, yeah, I have the resources for that. Yeah. That's not a problem.
Totally easy, because you've got all of your calls to, to resource from. You can just say, "What did I say on this call? What did I say on that call? What did I say on that call?" Right? And then, and it just puts it all together. Beautiful. Yeah. Oh, I like that. Yeah. All right. You know, I got work to do. I got some work to do.
I got some work to do in the next couple weeks. Yeah. Ooh. Ooh, that's a, a, it's, a couple of weeks is a very short period of time. I would say give yourself two months, okay? Yeah, I have to because I'm- Yeah ... I'm doing a lot of teaching, so- Well, yeah ... in-person teaching and- You said you were spending, October you were gonna be packed, so- Yeah, and I, I-
well, by the end of the year. You give yourself the goal to get plenty in. I think so. I think it would be good- That's a good choice ... and a good way to open up the next year. Yeah. Um, also I'm doing some in-person at a community college. I'm so excited 'cause I actually get to see people, like, like, in human forms.
In person. I know, right? And they're all women who signed up for the, the classes. But it's so, it's so great to be... You know, like I said, I've just been done- I've done so much online because my, a lot of my clients are in the US. I'm here in Australia. So when I get to actually be with people, uh, in person, it's a joy.
I forgot, I forgot how fantastic that was. Yeah. So. Yeah. Yeah, I love in-person stuff. I'm so excited for the retreat I'm doing next week. I'm just like, I can't wait to squeeze people. It's like human connection. Wow. I'm like, "Come here. Let me squeeze ya." So anything else I can help you with before we wrap up?
No, I just, I, I'm just so glad I'm in your orbit. And, um, now also you've, you've sparked my imagination and creativity, which is, I love that. Awesome. Um, and I want to, um, check out what you do because I wanna learn more about the stuff that you've got going on. And also, um, if there's people that I know that could benefit from the work that you do, which I, there are, um, I would love to send them your way too.
So what's your website? It's kellesparta.com. Just- There we go. ... spell out my name on the screen. I'm super easy. So yes. Um, so- You see how I s- you see how I turned that around? Yeah. Do you see that? Did you see that? You did very well. Thank you. Yeah, I can tell you've been in, in, uh, broadcasting. So you wanna give us your, uh, website again in case people have- Yeah
found this and been like, "Oh, that's a price I can afford. Let's do that." If they, if they're curious, and, and, and they do. Yeah. I have different pricing modules, modules because also I, I truly believe that... Listen, and to my men folk, I have many m- men, male clients. Um, y- you guys have had a lot of help along the way.
And so that's why some of my programs, uh, like, like the Mastermind for Women in Business and things, it's designed for women who do not have a, who do not have a huge marketing budget. They don't, they don't have a trust fund or anything like that. They are very gifted women. They are just bootstrapping it themselves.
And so that's why I make s- some of those programs available for them. Um, but you can find out everything at expertauthoritycoach.com. Okay, great. Yeah. All right, guys. So if you got anything out of this, and God, I, I can't imagine you didn't- ... please share it with a friend. They will appreciate it. Yes. We will appreciate it.

Oh, and Kell- and, and also if you do reach out to me from the, at the website, please tell me that you heard me on Kell- on her show, because then I can give her- Yes
that feedback, and I can say, "Your listeners are actually action takers." But it's good for her to know too- Yes ... that, um, that you've, that you've come, reached out to me. Please tell me. Yes. Okay. That's fantastic. All right, guys, and that's it for this week. Please remember, what you focus on expands. What you intend is what you create, so choose wisely.
Mm-hmm.
