Shownotes

Take a listen and join me while we chat about reinforcement! Reinforcement plays a crucial role in both behavioral and instructional interventions. We are going to talk positive and negative reinforcement, and what rewarding and removing behaviors looks like in the special education classroom.

We discuss the importance of recognizing those individual differences and the importance of reinforcement assessments and pre assessments. During episode 16, we will discuss pairing reinforcers with praise and the importance of establishing hierarchy.

We dive into using those token boards and varying the presentations of our reinforcer, this creates a solid approach to reinforcement. Finally we will touch on the necessity of reinforcing specific behaviors and encouraging consistent and strategic use of them to ensure long-term effectiveness.
