Final Thoughts and Review Reminder

Transcripts

Speaker:

Hey everybody, I am here today.

2

:

We are gonna chat all about Profit like

usual, but before we get started, I have a

3

:

little ask.

4

:

I want to see if I can get 45 reviews of

this podcast, new reviews of this podcast

5

:

by the time I turn 45.

6

:

So my birthday is May 7th.

7

:

We currently, this one, this episode is

gonna go live on the 19th of March.

8

:

So...

9

:

I think we can do it.

10

:

Can you help me out?

11

:

Can you go to your podcast player, leave

me a review and a rating?

12

:

I would be so, so grateful.

13

:

And then take a little screenshot of that

and send it over to me, DM it to me on

14

:

Instagram at Sam the Prophet Coach.

15

:

I know it's a little bit of work for you,

but I can't tell you how much it means to

16

:

me and to the growth of this podcast.

17

:

If you do that, I'm going to on my

birthday, which falls on...

18

:

Ooh, it falls on a Tuesday.

19

:

So it means that for this podcast, if we

get those 45 reviews, two things are gonna

20

:

happen.

21

:

First and foremost, I'm gonna shout out

and thank you for leaving your review.

22

:

Secondly, I am going to give away, you

heard it, give away a 90-minute coaching

23

:

session with me where you will be eligible

to win if you send me that DM with a

24

:

screenshot of that review on your podcast

player.

25

:

before my birthday on May 7th, you will

get 90 minutes to sit down with me, pick

26

:

my brain, ask me all the questions, have

me work through what is that strategy that

27

:

you're currently really needing help with.

28

:

This is your opportunity.

29

:

If you've been sitting here listening to

this podcast for the last hundred and so

30

:

episodes, I really want to encourage you

to take advantage of this.

31

:

Leave me a review and a rating, take that

screenshot, send it over to Instagram at

32

:

Sam the Profit Coach.

33

:

Let's flood my Instagram and be entered to

win.

34

:

I will draw it on May 7th, my birthday

episode.

35

:

So make sure you're listening in to that

one as well.

36

:

Okay, on with the show.

37

:

As they say, here we are.

38

:

We're in March now, right?

39

:

So the warm and fuzzies of, hey, it's a

new year.

40

:

Let's go, let's go has probably worn off.

41

:

You may or may not be feeling like you're

slogging through it again.

42

:

right, that you're taking actions that

aren't impacting things.

43

:

Or you're having a phenomenal year and

you're really seeing some growth.

44

:

Either way, I want to remind you today

that one of the most critical pieces of

45

:

moving forward in your business is to

continue the momentum.

46

:

So we can't go at new year's speed all

year long.

47

:

It's impossible and it would feel terrible

overall.

48

:

What we do need to do is make sure that we

know where are we aiming for.

49

:

What are we trying to accomplish in the

short term and then the slightly longer

50

:

term?

51

:

And I like to be looking at what do I need

to get done this week so that I can be as

52

:

most efficient towards those goals as

possible and what has to be done by the

53

:

end of the month.

54

:

If we're doing this 12 times a year that

we're reviewing, I promise you, you're

55

:

gonna get much closer to your goals than

if we just kind of do the work, do the

56

:

work that we think we should be doing.

57

:

and not actually be checking in on, hey,

is what I'm doing working?

58

:

First and foremost, is what I am doing

creating the results I wanna see?

59

:

Have you asked yourself that this year?

60

:

Do you see evidence?

61

:

Do you need to take the time to do it?

62

:

I really wanna encourage you to do this.

63

:

I know it feels hard as a business owner

to stop, reflect and plan, but going by

64

:

the seat of your pants and just work,

work.

65

:

all the time is not the way of growth and

it's not the way of a CEO.

66

:

Instead, it's the way of maybe a really

great manager that is just keeping the

67

:

shop open.

68

:

So when you reflect, you wanna be looking

at the metrics you've decided are

69

:

important.

70

:

Sometimes this is sales, sometimes it's

profitability, sometimes it's project

71

:

completion, right?

72

:

We're not always in a grow, grow mode.

73

:

So.

74

:

if it's project completion or getting

things done that need to get done, you

75

:

need to be able to track those.

76

:

You need to know what they are and be able

to determine how far along in those items

77

:

are you actually getting.

78

:

So, okay, we're gonna assume, pause this

podcast, do that evaluation, come back to

79

:

it, okay?

80

:

So I'm gonna assume that you took the time

to sit there, evaluate, review.

81

:

and you've got some work to do, or you

accidentally have veered off the path of

82

:

your plan for this year.

83

:

First and foremost, there is no shame in

this.

84

:

We all do this.

85

:

That shiny squirrel situation happens to

all of us.

86

:

There are very few people that can work

for a continual year with their head down,

87

:

eye on the prize, and not deviate in any

way.

88

:

If you have, it is okay.

89

:

But you caught it in March instead of

November.

90

:

So for that, high five.

91

:

Okay, go back to the original plan, the

one that you set out at the end of the

92

:

year last year.

93

:

What were you trying to accomplish?

94

:

What tactics and strategies were you going

to use to actually accomplish it?

95

:

Have you done any of those?

96

:

How successfully?

97

:

Have you put your full ass into it or have

you just done a half ass?

98

:

Yeah, ask the questions, right?

99

:

I want some blank space here for you to

determine.

100

:

Dust yourself off and realize you need to

write your plan for the rest of March and

101

:

the rest of April.

102

:

What exact day to day actions will create

the results you need?

103

:

For most of you, if you're looking for

sales increase, revenue increase,

104

:

profitability, most of the time it's going

to mean you need to sell more things to

105

:

more people, which is usually going to

mean you need to tell more people that you

106

:

have things that you can sell.

107

:

So if that feels true for you or really

uncomfortable, which means it's true, then

108

:

what on that list of for the end of March

and beginning of April are you doing to

109

:

create opportunities to discuss your

offers with other people and get them to

110

:

buy?

111

:

I do not care what the website looks like.

112

:

I do not care about the backend systems.

113

:

If you have no clients, you don't need

systems.

114

:

Now there's a fine line and all of you are

shaking your heads and saying, yeah, but

115

:

if I didn't have a system, when I get

clients, I won't know what to do.

116

:

You can pull that stuff out and you'll be

a heck of a lot more motivated when you

117

:

have people that are in the wings waiting.

118

:

So instead of hiding behind the computer,

doing the things that feel easier, they

119

:

still feel like work.

120

:

So you feel like you're getting things

done, but really you're not telling

121

:

anybody what you're doing.

122

:

and you're not selling it to anybody and

so you're getting frustrated, here's the

123

:

solution.

124

:

You are gonna write out your next six

weeks and it's going to include putting

125

:

your offers out there in the world.

126

:

Like super aggressive, putting it out

there.

127

:

How are you gonna do it?

128

:

You're gonna do it in person.

129

:

You could do it on social media.

130

:

You could do it through your email

marketing.

131

:

You could print flyers.

132

:

You could go to networking events.

133

:

You could do it any number of ways.

134

:

Talk to old clients, upsell current

clients, change your fees and make more

135

:

money.

136

:

All of those ways are available to you.

137

:

But if you're saying for the next six

weeks, I'm all in on my goals, then what

138

:

is the plan?

139

:

We will accomplish nothing without a plan,

I guarantee it, okay?

140

:

So, based on all of that, we are gonna

look at the next six weeks, even just the

141

:

next six weeks.

142

:

What do you think you can accomplish?

143

:

How much can you get done?

144

:

in six weeks, I promise you, it will blow

your mind.

145

:

It will blow your mind if you go all in

and you do the things that you need to do

146

:

and you lean into it and you don't take

your foot off the gas and you don't let

147

:

yourself hide behind the things that feel

easier.

148

:

And you don't get distracted by doing the

laundry or washing up the kitchen just

149

:

because it has to be done.

150

:

It for sure does, but you know what?

151

:

You don't have to do it during work hours.

152

:

This is a business, not a hobby.

153

:

This is me kicking your ass with love

into...

154

:

Don't quit.

155

:

Don't quit your business, don't quit your

goals, don't quit your dreams just because

156

:

up until now, you haven't hit them.

157

:

The only way that I can absolutely

guarantee you won't hit them is if you

158

:

take your foot off the gas, you don't look

backwards and evaluate, and you don't

159

:

bother trying.

160

:

Yeah, I know it doesn't feel good, right?

161

:

This kick in the ass comes to you from Sam

the prophet coach because this girl, Sam

162

:

the prophet coach, often needs that kick

in the ass too.

163

:

Listen, I can talk the talk, but walking

the walk is just as hard for me as it is

164

:

for you guys.

165

:

And so half the time I'm hopping on the

mic here today to tell myself the same

166

:

thing.

167

:

This episode, I'm recording it currently

before spring break.

168

:

I'm going on a week's vacation with my

family.

169

:

I am so pumped, right?

170

:

But I know I'm gonna need to hear this

when I come back.

171

:

So for all of you and for myself, review

what you're doing, implement the things

172

:

that you said you were gonna do, stop

half-assing it, and let's make the six

173

:

weeks from March 19th through to the end

of April be badass.

174

:

And for the love, because you know I need

it and I would be so grateful for the

175

:

birthday present, please remember, send me

a rating and a review on your podcast

176

:

player.

177

:

take a screenshot of that, DM me over at

Sam the Prophet Coach on Instagram and be

178

:

entered in to win that 90 minute session

with me where I can help you get from

179

:

where you are right now to where you wanna

be.

180

:

And with that, I'll see you next week.
