Shownotes
Hello Podcast listeners- apologies for the long absence, working from outside my normal studio at home in Japan has been a bigger challenge than expected, but I am back and rearing to go.
Over the next few weeks, I am taking a break from the usual focus on Japan, to add insights from my break in Hawaii which also help us see issues and successes in Japan more clearly.
Seeing my island home after many years away gave me new ideas and points of comparison with issues and successes I see in Japan. If you are interested in Hawaii and Japan, these pods are for you!
In this pod, I talk about 6 of the sustainability focused initiatives I was excited about in Hawaii - from a family-run watercress farm in the central of a shopping area that has survived development, to the public-access to Hawaii's beautiful natural assets for locals and visitors. This is an expansion of the article I wrote about it on MEDIUM here.
I plan to continue writing (and podcasting about) these insights over the next few weeks as I unpack a lot of the innovation, policies, entrepreneurship and inspiration I saw and engaged with on this summer from Oahu, Hawaii's main island.
I'd love to hear what you think of these ideas, DM or tag me with your thoughts: Twitter / Instagram / Facebook / LinkedIn / YouTube / Medium / Substack / Patreon / BMAC / KoFi
