Shownotes
In most cases the last part of your interview will be a chance for YOU to ask the questions. It’s a chance to reveal your curiosity about the company and the role.
In this week’s episode Sarah and Emma are picking out some of their favourite questions that go beyond the basics of our last episode. We'll discuss the art of being genuinely interested, turning the tables by 'interviewing' the interviewer, and why you shouldn’t be looking to ‘stand out’ with your questions.
Plus, don't miss out on our free download – a spreadsheet packed with question ideas to have at your fingertips!
🏀 Shoot Your Shot - Shoutout to Bec “Thank you ladies so much!!!! I just walked out of my interview and feel amazing. I had a session with Sarah on Wednesday and we were certain they weren't going to ask me a "tell me about yourself" question being a government job, but I'd prepared it anyway AND THEY ASKED!!! I had to come up with one answer that didn't fit the best bits I'd prepared, but I was able to stick to the structure of story, what I did, what was the result and weave in a different story. Just want to say too that I thought this was my "dream job" but after listening to your "take your dream job off the pedestal" episode, my preparation changed completely and I've left the interview room feeling like I did the best I could do, if I dont get this I'll use it all for the next opportunity. Thats why I'm sending this now and not after I've heard if I got the job, because the result doesn't even feel like it matters now.”
