Shownotes
Having time in your day to simply think can seem impossible. There is so much to do, especially as a busy physician. Or it may seem like an unnecessary or wasteful way to spend time. However, I would submit to you that it's not. It’s actually extremely productive. Having time to process, to mull things over, is healthy and indispensable.
Neuroscience suggests that a wandering mind is an unhappy mind when not focused on a task. But this is different than that. When you give yourself time and room to work things out in your mind, your brain receives much needed space. Space that can create solutions, bring clarity, and even offer opportunities. Let’s talk about it.
“Leaders often have a lot of time that is not spent in tasks or meetings. You need to have time to have a vision, create a vision, get creative. We need to be the CEO of our own lives.” – Dr. Sara Dill
