Shownotes

As a long-time fan of Anime and Manga, Jay Allen has been diving into Japanese history and culture for many years even before coming as a software engineer & technical writer turned journalist. Jay has been the publisher and chief writer of the popular site Unseen-Japan since 2018 and living in Tokyo, Japan full-time since 2024 writing and guiding tours for Tokyo's nightlife and lesser-known capitol city gems. In this talk, Jay Allen has great insights about social issues, travel, history and culture as well as current news events and key issues worth discussing for a better informed international community. Looking forward to talking with Jay and learning more of the backstory and philosophy of his work and projects as well as their guided tours.
