Shownotes

We all have the same 24 hours in a day, but how we manage our time makes the difference in getting that writing done or just pushing it for later. In this episode, I talk about time, as one of writer’s block. These are the methods I’ve learned from talking to people who want to become authors or who already are authors working on their second book, and of course, the tricks that work for me as well. Let’s get right to it.

  • The frustration of having to do so many things with so little time

[04:53-18:32] How Could You Manage Your Time and Be More Productive

  • Keep a notecard or a piece of paper and write whenever you have the opportunity
  • Keep an ample supply of the things you like and are comfortable with. Use your preferred paper, pens, and pencils of different colors if it will help you be in the mood
  • Make sure you have something to write about
  • Outline the topics
  • Take a notecard and write down a topic on each of the note cards. This serves as a prompt for you to write something about that topic
  • Schedule some time away
  • Take a writer’s weekend. Find a place you want to go to be creative
  •  Spare at least 15 minutes a day dedicated to writing
  • Establish a writing process

[18:33-20:01] Last Tips and Final Thoughts

  •  It's really about finding the few minutes and finding the focus to do it.

Key Quotes:
