Her first book, a Latin American travel memoir titled PATAGONIAN ROAD: A Year Alone Through Latin America was an experience that spanned four seasons, 10 countries, three teaching jobs, and countless buses. On this podcast we discuss her journey through South America where Kate's solo journey from Guatemala to Argentina brought on struggles with language, romance, culture, service, and homesickness.
