In this week's episode Lauren discusses How to Get Your Clients to Take You More Seriously.
- Have a Professional/Online Booking System. (This system needs to send out confirmations and reminders).
- You need to be collecting Booking Fees and/or Card Details. (Clear instructions around cancellations and no-shows will make your Clients respect your time more than they perhaps would otherwise).
- You need to be able to take Electronic Payments, both online and in-Salon. (Have a proper POS area).
- You need to have a professional looking Salon. (It makes asking for the Sale a much smoother process).
- You need to have your Treatment Area presented to highest possible standards.
- Have a Uniform!
- Run on time. (As much as possible, avoid moving your Clients around).
- Build a website. And get a proper domain name (a .com or .com.au) and an @yourdomain email address.
- Formulate a Style Guide for the look of your Socials and Website, and a Content Guide for the types of Content pieces that turn up on your Socials. (Keep your Business accounts professional and Salon-focussed).
- Maintain boundaries with Clients that become Friends. (All Salon communication needs to kept in once place for the benefit of all Staff and all Clients).
