So many times, Black executives find themselves at the crossroads of being themselves and accommodating the "professional standard." But unfortunately, many professional standards are rooted in old and problematic ideologies that only served White men in the C-suite. Therefore, Black leaders are often expected to accommodate these standards — uplifting harmful biases, in order to achieve success.
