We live our whole lives seeking
the answer to that question,
Speaker:why am I here?
Speaker:And the reason why we seek it is
because we know there's a reason.
Speaker:Hello and welcome to
Remember Why You Are Here,
Speaker:a podcast for seekers and sensitives
where you can relax, receive,
Speaker:reconnect yourself and remember
the most important thing of all:
Speaker:why you are here. I am Asia
Suler, author, teacher,
Speaker:earth intuitive,
Speaker:and this is the very first
episode of my brand new
Speaker:podcast. I am so excited
to be here with you.
Speaker:I have been thinking for a long
time about starting a podcast.
Speaker:And for probably just as long I was
trying to figure out what I wanted to call
Speaker:this podcast.
Speaker:I knew that this was the next iteration
of how I wanted to share here,
Speaker:but for a long time I was
sort of stuck on the title.
Speaker:What do I want to call this new
offering, this new piece in the world?
Speaker:And I wanted to share a little
bit in this inaugural episode,
Speaker:now that this podcast is finally coming
to fruition, which I'm so excited about,
Speaker:I wanted to share a little bit
about why I chose this name.
Speaker:Remember Why You Are Here. Now I have
for the last 13 years of my life,
Speaker:had a folder on the desktop of my
computer called Remember Why You Are
Speaker:Here. And over the years,
anytime I've gotten a message,
Speaker:an email, anything that has
helped me to remember this,
Speaker:I put it in that folder.
Speaker:So if you've ever written me
an email of love and support,
Speaker:it's possible that your email is
probably in "Remember Why You Are Here".
Speaker:And it's a folder that I look
at when I need to remember,
Speaker:when I need to reconnect
to this understanding.
Speaker:And I think it's something
that as sensitives and seekers,
Speaker:we deeply need, we need to be
reminded of why we are here.
Speaker:Because the going gets tough sometimes
and life on earth is not always easy.
Speaker:And so this motion of remembering why
you are here is incredibly important.
Speaker:So at the end of September, a massive,
Speaker:completely unprecedented hurricane
swept through our mountains causing
Speaker:a thousand year flood. And
in the aftermath of that,
Speaker:among many other things,
our town of Marshall,
Speaker:North Carolina was completely
destroyed. And my apothecary.
Speaker:So I had an apothecary on an island
in the middle of the river in Marshall
Speaker:called One Willow Apothecaries.
Speaker:It was a really big pivotal
moment and time in my
Speaker:life.
Speaker:I'm still finding words to express
just how powerful that entire
Speaker:experience was. That October,
Speaker:it was my plan to work on this podcast,
to bring this podcast into fruition.
Speaker:And instead,
Speaker:I was dealing with all the things that
come with living through a really massive
Speaker:natural disaster.
Speaker:But one night I was laying
in bed late at night and
Speaker:was just sort of letting my mind drift.
Speaker:And I just heard this
voice come in and said,
Speaker:what about Remember Why You're
Here for the podcast name?
Speaker:And at first I thought, no, I don't
know. It's kind of on the nose.
Speaker:It's very direct. But the voice was
insistent. Remember why you are here.
Speaker:I'm like, am I worthy of having a
podcast called Remember Why You Are here?
Speaker:But it wouldn't go away.
Speaker:And so I sat with it for some days and
I realized over those days, as these
Speaker:omens of support came in and these
moments where I was living through
Speaker:such a incredible soul trial,
Speaker:this trial that was redirecting
me back to this remembrance,
Speaker:I realized that there's this level
in which Remember Why You Are Here
Speaker:is the perfect name for this podcast.
Speaker:I have always been really
passionate about this,
Speaker:about helping people remember
why they're here and specifically
Speaker:helping other sensitives and
seekers remember why they're here.
Speaker:I think this is a very human question.
Speaker:It's one that we have asked
ourselves throughout all of time.
Speaker:It might even be the defining
question of humanity.
Speaker:One of the things that makes humanity
unique is we even ask this question at
Speaker:all. Why am I here?
Speaker:And not only do we ask it like
we seek it, we yearn for it.
Speaker:We long for its answer.
Speaker:We live our whole lives seeking
the answer to that question,
Speaker:why am I here?
Speaker:And the reason why we seek it is
because we know there's a reason.
Speaker:We know there's a reason. And
this is what drives us, right?
Speaker:This inner feeling, this
inner understanding,
Speaker:and knowing that there is a reason
why we're here and that we want to
Speaker:know it. We want to experience
it, and we want to live into it.
Speaker:We know that we're here for a reason.
Speaker:And it's one of those things
that really keeps us going,
Speaker:especially as sensitive hearted people
that were here on this earth at this time
Speaker:for a reason.
Speaker:And one thing I have found in my own
life and in the lives of the thousands of
Speaker:people that I've guided so
far is that hardship itself
Speaker:is a passageway into
remembering why we're here.
Speaker:And this just came alive for me
in such a specific crystal clear
Speaker:way when I lived through the hurricane.
Speaker:In this time of great upheaval,
Speaker:I was able to see and remember it.
It just got so clear in that moment,
Speaker:why am I here? And I think this question,
Speaker:it's not leading us to one answer, right?
Speaker:This question is leading
us into the multifaceted
Speaker:reality of who we are,
Speaker:the presence of ourselves
as multifaceted beings.
Speaker:Asking this question is what
brings us in contact with this
Speaker:multifarious self,
Speaker:all the different sides of our
beings that are here to be expressed,
Speaker:understood, and explored,
Speaker:and work together in this synergy
in conjunction to bring forth
Speaker:the gifts that we were meant
to deliver into this world.
Speaker:Because make no mistake about it, you
are here to bring a gift to this planet.
Speaker:You are part of the
earth's greater dreaming.
Speaker:You came into being for a reason,
Speaker:and there is a reason why you are here.
Speaker:And this podcast and all the roads we'll
go down together was designed to help
Speaker:you remember that, to help
you reconnect to that.
Speaker:I've always loved the word remember
because it's such a somatic,
Speaker:tactile word.
Speaker:Re-member literally to put
something back together like making
Speaker:whole once again is to
re-member something.
Speaker:And so this is what we do in our life
as we move down our journey is we're
Speaker:picking up these pieces. And
as we pick up each piece,
Speaker:we can remember we can become whole again.
Speaker:We integrate and illuminate once more
Speaker:the central core tenant of our mission.
Speaker:Like that thing at the heart of us that
we know we came into this world knowing
Speaker:and that now we're simply remembering
by becoming whole once more.
Speaker:And this is the journey.
Speaker:This is the journey of being an individual
on this planet, of being a human,
Speaker:of being a sensitive is realizing
that through our own journey of
Speaker:recognizing our wholeness, of
starting to come to understand,
Speaker:accept ourselves, have compassion
for ourselves, integrate who we are,
Speaker:celebrate who we are, that it's
through finding that wholeness,
Speaker:that we understand our mission
again, that we glimpse it,
Speaker:that we can have it be a guiding
light that brings us forward.
Speaker:Because when we can remember why
we're here, everything gets easier.
Speaker:Even if we don't know what
the next step is in our life,
Speaker:even if we're not sure what that
even looks like or what the future
Speaker:holds,
Speaker:having a embodied remembrance
of why we're here.
Speaker:And again,
Speaker:I'm not speaking of necessarily having
this intellectual understanding,
Speaker:although I welcome that and I love
it when it comes for my own self.
Speaker:But this embodied remembering
of why you're here,
Speaker:it's like that fizzy and enlivening
Speaker:integrated sort of champagne like
feeling when you just have this sense,
Speaker:this awareness of like,
yes, this is why I'm here.
Speaker:It's that energy, it's
that moment of revelation.
Speaker:It's our life is made up of these
series of revelations, right?
Speaker:It's that moment of
revelation that helps you move
Speaker:onwards, that helps you
take that next step.
Speaker:It's like when we have
this seed awareness within
Speaker:ourselves of why we're
here, it all gets so clear.
Speaker:And the stuff that you're not meant for,
Speaker:the stuff that doesn't
deserve your attention,
Speaker:the stuff you're ready to let go
of, that also gets really clear too.
Speaker:And I think we're at a moment in time
right now where we're really being asked
Speaker:to get clear in that way,
Speaker:where we're being asked to prioritize
Speaker:our mission, the reason why
we came into this earth,
Speaker:why we came into this being. We're
being asked to remember why we are here.
Speaker:And that journey of remembering
can be truly delightful.
Speaker:So this is the start.
Speaker:This is the start of this journey
of Remember Why You Are Here,
Speaker:this podcast with me, Asia Suler,
Speaker:and I'm just so delighted
that you're here.
Speaker:There's so much more I'm excited about
sharing with you. But until next time,
Speaker:take care.
Speaker:Be gentle with yourself and whenever
you can remember why you are here.
