The Psalmist. Psalm 1:6. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 4 of 30 Days of Psalms. Life and righteousness are inseparably connected. There are no alternative paths that sustain life. All that is good is allied with God and all that destroys, allied with the rebellion. Sin exacts a heavy price, because the premise of self-preservation is actually the undergirding of self-destruction. Sin is not destructive because God punishes those who disagree with him. Sin is just destructive—that’s why God adamantly hates it. It devastates what he designed to beautiful and full of life. It mangles human hearts built for wonder and love.
