Paul states in Galatians 2:20 (KJV) that “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”.
There are over 140 verses in the Bible that state this In-Christ position, the truth that the moment we believe in Christ as our Savior, we no longer live. Christ becomes our life. He is birthed in us. We are “born again” in Christ. This means that, as believers, we live and rest in the truth that we are not separate from Christ. The Bible declares clearly that we become “New Creations” out with the old (our life and our identity before believing, our sin-nature) and in with the new (our new life in Christ). We become images and reflections of Him as we relationship with Him and understand through the work of the Holy Spirit that He is our new nature, indeed our life.
