In this episode, I talk to my friend Becca Berkey about the more recent pivotal moments in her life – the convergence of many nearly simultaneously. In one year, Becca got pregnant at 37, lost two family members on the same day, and then the world shut down due to the pandemic. But the most interesting part about her story is her journey that brought her to live authentically – driven by her values.
My favorite part of this story is how she describes her journey – as a vase with cracks that eventually shattered to be reborn as something new, perhaps a mosaic table. We are a product of our journeys, and I hope many moments of Becca's journey resonate deeply and help someone feel slightly less alone.
Becca Berkey is an interdisciplinary learner, researcher, and educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Butler University, a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Miami University, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England.
