Candy Motzek:I really want it to get warm, I want it to get hot, because I'm going away on vacation, we're going to spend time out at the beach and in nature at our cabin. Now, let me dive into this episode. So the top question I get from you as a listener is this, how do I sign clients? How do we find clients. And I wanted to share an approach that I have been using for the past couple of years. So that you can take what I've learned and use it to it started out as just an inspired idea. I thought this could be kind of a call thing. And then I started and then I continued. And then I continued. And then I took a couple of months off. But you know, I came back to it because I found it to be such an effective method. And it was so satisfying for me to connect with people. So that's why I decided to tell you all about it. And of course, you've got an invite to join the next session too. So let me tell you, if you've been receiving my emails, and if you're getting my emails, right, you better jump on my email list. Yes, coaches like you. We always want to learn how to find clients how to sign clients, how to attract dream clients, the ones that we would love to work with. I wanted to share this particular way that has worked for me. This is one of those episodes That's where you're going to want to grab your notebook. And you're going to want to listen, and then pause and re listen and take notes on what you're learning here, and then go and put it into practice. If you've been in my world, you've seen me invite you to weekly coaching and conversations sessions, and I host those most Mondays. Now, those are community building sessions, but I've called them coaching and conversation with candy. These sessions are so valuable in building community. And it also helps to put me in front of the people who would probably love to work with me. My focus when I do these sessions is four things. First, I want to create a safe and welcoming space for coaches to come and start their week in an intentional way. Coaches love getting support, we've got a big mission that we're wanting to create in the world. And I really want to provide that place for you to get a great start on your week. Second, I grow my email list. Everyone who registers is now a subscriber on my email list. Third, I encourage current and past clients to attend, so we can stay in touch. One of my core values is relationships. And even after a client graduates from coaching with me, graduate from one of my programs, I still want to hear how they're doing, I'm still really interested in their success. And I love to be able to support them. And whatever that next step is that they're taking and forth, it is a chance for people who are potential clients, maybe somebody like you to listen to me to get in my space, but in a completely non threatening way. Basically, check me out and see if I'm your kind of person, no cost, no pressure, the easiest way possible. So here are some of the details that I've used. So you can take what I give you and replicate it and try it for yourself. There are five main components. The first is the shedule shedule, a weekly call, the second the invitation, invite people to attend the third, the cost. In my case, I've decided to make it free, it's complimentary. You could decide to charge a small amount or a large amount, your choice, forth, the length 45 to 60 minutes is a good amount of time. And five, how people register to attend the zoom session, then they show up on the call. Easy, right? All right. Now, let me go into a bit more detail on those five things. The first is the shedule. So start by choosing a date and time in your calendar. And I recommend that you use the same day and time for each session. My coaching and conversation sessions are Monday mornings at 9am Pacific time. Now, you could do calls weekly, you could do calls once a month, you could do calls every other week. I like weekly 9am. My time on Monday, I chose that specifically, because I wanted to give coaches the best opportunity to make a really solid start to the week. But you could choose a time that works well for you and your potential clients. Maybe it's a Sunday evening, maybe it's a Saturday morning, you know your people choose what works for you. And them. I keep this day and time consistent. I have people who attend this call every single week. They know the day and time there's no confusion, and they sign up week after week. The second is the invitation. So I invite people in a few different ways. I invite people on social media posts, I send emails as an invitation. And also, as I meet people throughout the week, I invite them to I have a number of people on my email list and I send a weekly email with that registration link. And a second reminder email a couple of hours before the call. And I encourage them to join. I basically use the same email template each time I write an email and then I change the details. Also, I periodically reach out one on one to current and past clients just to encourage them to join those calls as well. I love keeping in touch with my clients and I'm always interested in what they're doing. Third is the cost. I've decided at this time that these sessions are free. And I do this for a few reasons but primarily It's my gift to the community. Yeah, you heard that right gift. Often, there are people who are interested in working with me, and they're just not financially able to do it. And this way, I know that there is a way that I can help them. These coaching and conversation calls my podcast and other free resources are some of the ways that I give back to my community. And just makes me feel like a really great contributor. I really know there's a lot of coaches who are maybe strapped financially, and I want to be able to help them as well. And so these coaching and conversation sessions is one of the ways that I give back. Next is the length. These calls are 45 minutes to 60 minutes long, no more than 60 minutes. For me, it's a reasonable amount of time for us to get settled to cover a topic, maybe do some laser coaching, and have a bit of a discussion. During these sessions. I also share if I have upcoming groups opening up if I've got space for private clients, or really anything that I'm offering. And I'll often put a link to register in the chat for anyone who hears something of interest. Then how the how I've created a recurring meeting in zoom for these sessions, and I make that signup link available. So anyone can sign up for the next shedule meeting, and then attend. Currently, I don't offer replays, the people who show up live are the ones who have chosen to benefit from the experience. And I think that that really works well for me. So you might be wondering,
