Today, I'd like to share insights from a research paper authored by a group of surgeons affiliated with the Department for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Trinity Hospital in Wesseling, Germany.

The paper is titled, Differential diagnoses and treatment of lipedema, and was published in the peer-reviewed journal Plastic and Aesthetic Research in March 2020.

According to the authors, the accurate diagnosis and treatment of lipedema are crucial. However, distinguishing between obesity and lipedema proves challenging, given their frequent coexistence.
