Shownotes

Chris and Marty talk about whether automotive YouTube is getting stale, wax lyrical about Will Buxton's wonderful love letter to Le Mans, and look forward to the next Car Trek!

But first, Will Buxton did a special programme for Motorsport.tv sharing his first trip to Le Mans. It's an hour well spent, and Chris thinks possibly up there if not better than Steve McQueen's Le Mans. It is available now and for free here.

The Car Trek series 5 trailer is out, and it looks like they're keeping up the improvement!

Rather than reviews this episode, instead Chris and Marty are discussing the current state of car YouTube. Chris wrote about his thoughts in 2014 (back when Shmee150 was at 300k subscribers!) but now what are channels doing, and how can it continue?

In 'What has Henry Catchpole Been Driving This Week?' he's in yet another iconic rally car with Audi Sport Quattro S1 Evolution 2: We Drive The Most Iconic Group B Rally Car!

For their YouTube picks, Chris went with the sort of content YouTube does so well, which is one person's dream drive in a Civilian Toyota Mega Cruiser: A Comprehensive Tour. His channel pick is the animated series of video essays from Josh Revell. Marty got into Best Motoring talking about Toyota GT-86 torque curves and then fell down that rabbit hole again...
