Do you feel like you’re meant for more… but have no idea what that “more” actually is?

Do you want to follow God’s plan—but feel unsure what He’s actually calling you to?

Do you feel stuck in the daily rhythm of motherhood, wondering if there’s something more for you? You’re not alone—and more importantly, you’re not stuck.

Purpose can feel just out of reach, especially for busy Catholic moms who are juggling everything from laundry to late-night snack for the kids. We feel like we’re meant for something more, yet we’re stuck in the daily grind, unsure of how to actually move forward.

In the middle of busy motherhood—between laundry, errands, and everything in between—it can feel nearly impossible to slow down and hear where God is leading.

But here’s the truth:

You don’t need more time.

You need the right approach—one that invites God into the process.

In this episode, I’m sharing a simple, faith-centered way to begin discerning your God-given purpose—so you can stop guessing and start being led by God with clarity and peace.

If you’ve ever thought, “I want to follow God’s plan… but I don’t know what that is,” this episode will give you a clear place to start.

So whether you’re folding laundry or driving around town—press play and take your next step with God.

I pray that this episode blesses and encourages you!

Speaker A:

We chase things we think that will make us happy.

Speaker A:

We choose paths that seem right, but later we feel unfulfilled.

Speaker A:

Do you feel like you're meant for more but you have no idea what that actually is?

Speaker A:

Today we're going to be talking about why that feeling isn't random and how to start discerning your God given purpose with Him.

Speaker A:

Whether you're juggling laundry or on the go, let's do this.

Speaker A:

If you're tired of feeling unsure about your purpose because you don't know how to hear God clearly and you want simple, faith rooted steps to discern, discern his will and move forward with confidence, you are in the right place.

Speaker A:

I'm Michelle, a cradle Catholic mom of three and a discernment coach for Catholic women.

Speaker A:

I learned how to move from confusion and overthinking to hearing God's voice clearly and moving forward with confidence in his will.

Speaker A:

So if you're ready to grow closer to God, begin discovering how God uniquely made you and experience that mindset transformation.

Speaker A:

Grab that laundry, pop in those earbuds and let's go.

Speaker A:

When I first started looking into my purpose, I would start and then I would stop out of frustration.

Speaker A:

I wanted a clear path, something that helped me partner with God and stay aligned with the Catholic faith.

Speaker A:

But I didn't know what that actually looked like.

Speaker A:

And when my daughter was born, I told myself, I'll come back and do this later when I have more time when life slows down a little.

Speaker A:

But as a mom, life as we know it rarely slows down as we imagine it will.

Speaker A:

What I eventually realized is that discerning God's will for my life didn't require hours of free time or a perfect season.

Speaker A:

It started in small, intentional moments with Him.

Speaker A:

I created a simple framework so when I sat down for even just 15, 20 minutes, I knew exactly what to focus on.

Speaker A:

And I was able to begin moving forward with clarity instead of starting over and over again.

Speaker A:

So if you've been feeling that desire to understand God's plan for your life, begin.

Speaker A:

But you keep thinking, I just don't have time right now.

Speaker A:

I want you to know that it doesn't have to feel overwhelming.

Speaker A:

Sometimes you simply need a clear place to begin.

Speaker A:

That's why I offer discernment coaching sessions.

Speaker A:

In our time together, we focus on simple faith rooted steps so that you can begin discerning God's guidance right in the middle of your life as a mom.

Speaker A:

And if you'd like support in that process, you can learn more or book your discernment coaching session@michellebranham.com coaching that is M I C H E L L E B R A n n a m.com coaching.

Speaker A:

You know that feeling, that ache in your heart that you're just meant for more, but you don't even know what that more actually is?

Speaker A:

I want you to know that you're not alone in that.

Speaker A:

That is more common than we think.

Speaker A:

So many women feel this, but no one really shows us how to discern what we're actually meant for.

Speaker A:

I remember walking through that myself.

Speaker A:

One of the biggest challenges I faced was trying to find solid, trustworthy guidance, especially guidance that was rooted in the Catholic faith.

Speaker A:

I just didn't want random advice from the Internet.

Speaker A:

I wanted something aligned with God, something grounded in truth, something I could actually trust.

Speaker A:

And honestly, that took hours.

Speaker A:

So much time and energy and frustration just trying to piece things together from different places just to find something that felt aligned with the church.

Speaker A:

I wanted a path that was God led.

Speaker A:

Not self led, not trend led, but God led.

Speaker A:

While there are many resources available today, the reality is not all of them are aligned with the Catholic teaching.

Speaker A:

And if you're not careful, you can easily end up following a method that leaves God out of the process.

Speaker A:

That's exactly why we're talking about this today.

Speaker A:

Because you don't have to stay stuck wondering what you're meant for.

Speaker A:

There is a way to discern it with God.

Speaker A:

So when it comes to discerning what you're meant for, it starts with partnering with God.

Speaker A:

Because he created you for a unique purpose, which means he has to be the one leading you.

Speaker A:

We don't get to choose our purpose on our own.

Speaker A:

And when we try to, we fall in that self reliance.

Speaker A:

And this is something that I see often, especially in the online space.

Speaker A:

We chase things we think that will make us happy.

Speaker A:

We choose paths that seem right, but later we feel unfulfilled.

Speaker A:

Because we didn't partner with God, we didn't allow him to reveal what he personally created us for, what we are truly meant to be.

Speaker A:

God made us.

Speaker A:

We didn't create ourselves.

Speaker A:

Even though the world will tell you that you can be anything or recreate yourself.

Speaker A:

God is the only One who holds the answer to your purpose.

Speaker A:

And it is through him that you begin to understand who you are, how he uniquely created you and what you were created for.

Speaker A:

God is the author of your story, but he gives you the choice to co write it with Him.

Speaker A:

So I want to ask you, are you ready to co write your story with God?

Speaker A:

Are you Ready to stop guessing and start being led.

Speaker A:

Now you might be wondering, okay, but how do I actually do that?

Speaker A:

It starts here.

Speaker A:

When you start spending time with God daily, that's when he begins to reveal things to you.

Speaker A:

And one of the ways he does that is through how he designs you.

Speaker A:

Your natural talents, your strengths, your gifts.

Speaker A:

These are not by accident, these are unintentional.

Speaker A:

But sometimes we don't see them.

Speaker A:

I remember when I was trying to figure out my purpose, I felt like I had nothing.

Speaker A:

I could look at everyone around me and clearly see what they were good at.

Speaker A:

But when it came to me, nothing.

Speaker A:

I would sit there with a blank piece of paper, just staring at it, trying to come up with something, but instead coming up empty.

Speaker A:

It honestly felt like I was never going to figure this out.

Speaker A:

But through a process and by bringing it to God, he started revealing little pieces, little breadcrumbs.

Speaker A:

And one of those for me was realizing that I'm a lifelong learner.

Speaker A:

I love learning, I'm always learning.

Speaker A:

And I love to share what I learned with others.

Speaker A:

And that didn't come to me all at once.

Speaker A:

God revealed it over time, and that's how he works.

Speaker A:

Your purpose is made up of pieces.

Speaker A:

Your natural talents are just one part of that bigger picture.

Speaker A:

Now you might be thinking, okay, so how do I start seeing those pieces?

Speaker A:

Spending time with daily with God is where this begins because that's how you start partnering with Him.

Speaker A:

But it doesn't stop there.

Speaker A:

Discernment also requires a process and it looks like reflecting and you're taking action with God at the center.

Speaker A:

Because clarity doesn't come from just thinking about it.

Speaker A:

It comes from walking with God through it.

Speaker A:

And sometimes we're blinded to what's right in front of us.

Speaker A:

We don't see what God sees.

Speaker A:

And sometimes we don't even see what others can see in us.

Speaker A:

I even tried asking family and co workers what I was good at.

Speaker A:

And they really did try to help me, but they just couldn't see it.

Speaker A:

And they didn't have the tools to help me to uncover it deeply.

Speaker A:

But what's interesting is this.

Speaker A:

As I was preparing for this episode, the Holy Spirit brought one of those comments back to my mind.

Speaker A:

And now I can see how it actually connects to my God given purpose.

Speaker A:

That's how God works.

Speaker A:

He brings things back.

Speaker A:

He connects the dots and reveals things over time.

Speaker A:

Sometimes I wonder, he's probably just laughing, laughing at me, going, Michelle.

Speaker A:

And while I was so grateful for my family trying to help me when I was asking for help what truly made the difference was this, though.

Speaker A:

Partnering with God, having the right tools, and walking through a discernment process with him.

Speaker A:

And that's what changed everything.

Speaker A:

And maybe you're thinking, okay, but I don't see it.

Speaker A:

I want to reassure you.

Speaker A:

You do have natural talents.

Speaker A:

You do have those gifts.

Speaker A:

God has already placed them within you.

Speaker A:

It's about looking back, noticing those breadcrumbs, and uncovering the blueprint that he's already written in your life.

Speaker A:

And you can start simple.

Speaker A:

Start spending intentional time with God.

Speaker A:

And if you're already doing that, then start looking for the breadcrumbs.

Speaker A:

And if you're unsure where to begin, I created something to help you to take that first step.

Speaker A:

You can take my free quiz, God Given Purpose, where to begin?

Speaker A:

And it'll help you see where God might be inviting you to next.

Speaker A:

And you can go to michellebranum.com God given purpose quiz and I'll also have that link in the episode description as well for a quick click and go.

Speaker A:

And if you're ready to go deeper with this and you don't want to try to figure it out on your own, that's exactly what I help you do.

Speaker A:

Inside my coaching session, I walk you through a simple, proven process to help you discern your purpose and start recognizing those breadcrumbs that God has already placed in your life.

Speaker A:

You can book a discernment coaching session with me@michellebranum.com coaching all right, so to recap on the three things that we talked about today and really anchor into is you don't create your purpose.

Speaker A:

You discover it by partnering with God.

Speaker A:

Your talents, your strengths, they're not random.

Speaker A:

They're breadcrumbs.

Speaker A:

And clarity doesn't come from overthinking.

Speaker A:

It comes from walking with God through discernment.

Speaker A:

Let us take this to prayer.

Speaker A:

In the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

God, thank you for creating each of us with purpose and intention.

Speaker A:

Help us to trust you in the process of discerning what we are meant for.

Speaker A:

Up open our eyes to see the gifts that you've already placed within us and give us the courage to take the next step with you.

Speaker A:

Teach us to rely on you, not ourselves, and to walk in the purpose that you've prepared for us.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Now let's take this from head to heart, knowing that truth is powerful, but that real change comes when we act.

Speaker A:

Just one small step at a time.

Speaker A:

So here's your step for today.

Speaker A:

Spend a few moments with God and begin reflecting on your natural talents.

Speaker A:

Ask yourself what comes naturally to me, and I want to invite you to take this one step further.

Speaker A:

Come share one thing that came up for you inside the free Facebook community Finding your purpose, discernment and strategy.

Speaker A:

For Catholic moms, there's something powerful about putting into words and not doing this alone.

Speaker A:

And even if it's just one word or one thing that you're noticing, come share that.

Speaker A:

I'd love to see what you're discovering and walk that with you.

Speaker A:

Remember, my beautiful sister in Christ, that God uniquely created you for a unique purpose.

Speaker A:

You were made to do great things.

Speaker A:

God is within you and you will not fail.

Speaker A:

I look forward to continuing this journey with you.

Speaker A:

I'll meet you next Tuesday for another conversation.

Speaker A:
