Shownotes

Embracing a big, audacious dream can be daunting but when God has placed it in your heart, the dream itself and walking uncomfortable paths to fulfill it is part of your divine purpose. Inspired by Bruce Wilkinson's book, "The Dream Giver," today Jeanette reflects on her own audacious dream and the power of sharing her story to inspire others and draw them closer to God. Join her in exploring the importance of stepping out in faith, embracing discomfort, and following God's calling. Tune in!

In this episode, Jeanette emphasizes the importance of faith and perseverance, drawing from Peter's step of faith on the water. Going after a big goal means that you will inevitably stumble along the way, but through faith and obedience you will find joy and fulfillment, even when the path seems uncertain.

Remembering that you are glorifying God will make every stage of the process worthwhile. This episode will inspire you to pursue that big, audacious goal, take incremental steps, and experience the transformative power of faith in pursuing your life's mission. Tune in!

Hey girl, hey, I went tell you about this big, audacious, calling slash dream that God put on my heart. And I think you have one too. I read this book by I think it was Bruce Wilkinson. It's called the dream giver. Basically, it's about how God gives everybody on Earth a big, scary dream that we all need to go after. That is our destiny. That is our divine purpose. And, obviously, when we go after those dreams, it's going to be uncomfortable, we will never be in a comfortable place or going after something that's bigger than ourselves. This past week, I was on stage. Now, if you knew me back in my school days, you'd be like, what? Jeanette? Jeanette doesn't even talk. She is so shy. She mumbles her words. She's so shy. There's no way that Jeanette would be on stage. If you knew me and my military days, you would know that I would be so nervous. I'm okay in front of small groups of people. But as I know things, and I'm good about talking about things that I know, right? I'm teaching you something, or I'm showing you something cool. genets got that. But what I talked about this past week was something that showed me my vulnerability. I was extremely vulnerable on this stage, and told people things that I don't really talk about. And it was scary, and uncomfortable. But I did it because I feel like no, I don't feel like I know that. God has taken me through some fire in order to come out on the other side, in order to use my story for His glory. Oh, that's good. Use my story for your glory. God, I just got a new song new hit song, new hits on us my story for your glory. Yes. Maybe I'll call the episode that. But really, my big audacious dream is to tithe a million dollars. And that sounds insane. Tithing a million dollars. That means that I am giving 10% of my income to the church, to my local church, to the church that I go to. Because that's what I'm doing. I'm sowing my seed into God's Church, the local church. That's how I define tight. So in 10% of my income, the first 10% to my local church. I do that now. Right, and I'm trying to get to 15% Right now, I think we're at 12. But I feel like that is my big calling to tie the million dollars in one year. Maybe by the time I get to Thailand million dollars, it'll be way more than 10% I don't know what that looks like. I just did have them supposed to. And now how am I gonna do that? Right? How am I gonna tie the million dollars if I'm not making a lot of money, right. But I can only do things to work for God, like I if I was like a drug dealer or something, I'm sure I can make lots of money and then tie that. But that's, that's what God wants me to do, obviously. So I was on stage. And I was on stage because I feel like my story is gonna get me paid y'all. And I don't mean that in like a crass kind of way. I mean it like, if I'm speaking on stage, sharing God's glory through my story, then I am going to get paid for it because people are going to want to pay me to talk to them to be in their school or their church or their whatever, I'm going to be telling my story and inspiring people through my story. And getting to know people and drawing them closer to me. And through that showing them God's love. That's my purpose showing God's love. Right. So I was on stage saying some very vulnerable things. And it was quite scary. I'm not gonna lie, it was kind of scary, but you know what, I'm ready for it. I already forgot to start moving in my life. And the only way that's gonna happen is if I am uncomfortable. Do you think Well boy got out of the boat and stepped on the water when he called the when Jesus called to him and said Come on, Peter. Good. Got the boat? And he said, Okay, I'm just gonna come out there. No, he was like, are you okay? All right. And then he looked down and he almost drowned. But that that is saying, he stepped out though. He said, Oh, ye of little faith, and I don't think that when God said that he meant it and like, Uh oh, you unbelieving full? No, I think he meant like, Oh, my poor baby, you have? Do you don't have enough faith yet? Come on, you can do this. You know what I mean? Like when, when our kids step and they fall down when they're learning how to walk. I think that's what are you saying? So I'm going to keep stepping out, and I'm going to keep falling down, and it's not going to be great. My speech was not perfect. I messed up, I stumbled on my words, I got the slide order wrong. My notes on my cards didn't match where I was supposed to be saying I was talking too fast. I was merging the stories together in my head. It was not perfect. But you know what, I'm going to do it again. I'm gonna do it again. And I'm going to keep doing it. Until God tells me to stop because I am choosing to be obedient to whatever that thing is, whatever my big, audacious calling is. And the way to get there is through God, whatever that looks like. So I'm doing the things he's telling me to do, to hit the goal that he wants me to have. Which is crazy, critical. I mean, I could really just sit back at my house, go to go to work, do a little nine to five action and be done. And it'd be easy life will be easy. Sometimes I wonder, I'm like, Jeanette, why don't you just pick the easy way? You know why? Because I have that unrest in my heart, I don't have the fruits of the Spirit, I don't have that joy, I don't have that peace. I don't have that self control, it makes me want to jump out the window. And I know that because God gave me this. And I feel peace when I'm doing it. And I feel good and lit up and joyful. This is what I'm supposed to be doing. And now I don't have to worry about the how the when the all the things I just have to remember the next step. I just have to remember to step out one by one one step at a time, and God's gonna show me the way. So I encourage you to remember whatever that big scary dream is, and just be obedient. God is going to be patient with you. He's been patient with me. Just do one thing to get there. One thing to get to that next step, because when you are with God, he will never let you down and He will never leave you or forsake you. So don't forget that. So what is your big scary dream? DME, I would love to know

because when God gives us those big, scary, audacious dreams, it's time for us to start moving towards them because that is our life's mission.
