In this week's episode, Stacy and Sam talk with Singer/Songwriter/Producer Nicky Scorpio about embracing our truth, emotional intelligence and Nicky's debut single, "Irregular" and his podcast, “Scorpio Rising”.
Nicky is a Singer, Songwriter and producer from the Bay Area, California. After growing up in the Bay Area, Nicky moved to NYC where he currently resides. Nicky was raised in a LGBTQ+ family with 2 mothers and a gay birth father in a very rough part of town. After his family split up, Nicky lost his father to AIDs. Then, moving to a nicer neighborhood only opened Nicky to bullying from the “rich kids” while his mother, a teacher for severely handicapped children worked up to 5 jobs a week just to stay afloat. These life experiences enabled him to be an observer of poverty, violence, homophobia, racism and injustice. Nicky then made the realization that he is here to change and address the hypocrisy of how our system divides and disconnects us and how much more powerful we can be when we come together. Nicky has released his self produced debut single “Irregular” in collaboration with Subtle Energy, which is the first popular song to incorporate healing sound frequencies with quantum physics, which means that the more people listen, the better they feel. Nicky also hosts the podcast, “Scorpio Rising” which is focused on discussing mental health primarily for artists, entertainers, thought leaders and human beings who are looking to transform their life holistically and to celebrate themselves.
