Section 1

Rebekah’s journey into an unknown future did not require abandoning everything that had previously strengthened and supported her. As she departed with Abraham’s servant, her own servants traveled alongside her, providing a familiar connection while she stepped courageously into something entirely new. Dr. Dave compares this with major transitions believers experience when changing locations, careers, ministries, or other significant areas of life. Faith may require stepping out of the boat, but God also provides encouraging people who pray, support, and remain faithful along the journey. Moving forward does not mean forgetting those relationships God has already used to sustain us.

Section 2

While Rebekah traveled toward him, Isaac was quietly walking through the field and meditating, demonstrating the personal relationship with God that had been modeled by his father Abraham. Dr. Dave emphasizes that parents cannot control every spiritual outcome in their children, but they can faithfully live out their own relationship with the Lord and trust God with what takes root. Isaac’s private time with God reflected something deeper than public religion. Then, almost simultaneously, Isaac and Rebekah looked up and saw one another approaching. Her response of humility and respect reveals the character surrounding the beginning of their relationship.

Section 3

After arriving, Abraham’s servant told Isaac the entire remarkable story of how God had answered his prayer and directed every part of the journey. Dr. Dave returns to the importance of sharing what God has done because testimonies strengthen faith and remind others of His sovereignty. Eliezer had asked the Lord for success, and God had answered without requiring human manipulation. The same principle applies when believers bring their requests before Him today. God loves His children, understands every detail, and does not need anyone forcing circumstances to accomplish His purposes. Our responsibility is to pray, trust, obey, and allow God to handle the answer.
