Shownotes

Antoinette lost her father at a young age, and it tore her family apart. Her mother didn’t cope well with the loss of her husband and the kids were sent to foster homes while she tried to recover. Antoinette’s brothers were sent to a different home than she and her sister. This left Antoinette feeling sad and alone.

During this time, one of her legs started to become painful but she didn’t want to cause any more issues for her family, so she kept quiet. Once her family was united, she didn’t want her mom to have to worry about her so she continued living in silence with the pain. One afternoon, while shopping for school clothes, her leg totally gave out on her and her mother took her to the hospital where they discovered that her leg and pelvic are had become riddled with cancer, and by this time, it was terminal.

She was sent over 100 miles away to a treatment center that was conducting experimental tests on cancer patients. This experience saved her life! Today, Antoinette is a health care advocate and works to give a voice to the voiceless.

Tune in to hear how she was able to overcome this death sentence and shine her light brighter than ever. Hear how this experience changed the course of her life and the lives of those she works with.
