Leif and Steve do a spoiler free recap of the original Gossip Girl TV show that aired on the CW from 2007-2013.   They take a deep dive–one episode at a time–examining all the references to old movies and literature as well as exploring all the parallels and foreshadowing used by the writers. Not to mention, discussing all the schemes, secret hookups, and couture catastrophes. 

This week the guys break down season 1, episode 11, titled, Roman Holiday.

The TWoP episode description reads: Blair-Bear's dad Harold brings Roman home for the holidays; Blair immediately determines that he must be destroyed, of course. Jenny and Vanessa "help" Serena plan the best Christmas ever for Dan, but don't you EVER forget that Vanessa sucks. Dan has a surprise of his own in mind for Serena, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure Dan knows what I mean, though. Chuck and Nate run off to Monaco together; poor Blair still thinks it's about her. Vengeance comes for Alison Humphrey, in the return of one Alexander Bancroft, the Hudson Neighborfucker. YES!
