Roxy Manning:

The sign from a loved one people miss most often is blank pennies, pennies.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Everyone's afraid to pick up a penny now. People don't want to pick up pennies,.

Roxy Manning:

So we should be picking those things.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Up because it also signals to the universe that you want money too. But if you say no, then you're saying no to money. A lot of dogs I've seen were horses before. They're sentient beings.

They mimic our troubles, our pain. They absorb. People don't even know that cats occurring kills your bones.

Roxy Manning:

The one thing people should stop being afraid of is dying.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Wake up in the morning and tell yourself, I'm awesome. And I'm telling you, that's like liquid medicine.

Roxy Manning:

Welcome to the iconic midlife. Jennifer, how are you today?

Jennifer Shaffer:

I am fabulous. Thank you for inviting me.

Roxy Manning:

Oh, I'm so excited you're here. And happy belated birthday. Thank you. You mentioned a game and we always like to play a game with our guests if you are up for. All right.

All right, let's do it. So this is called the Spirit Speed Round. We always have to have a catchy name.

So I'm going to say a sentence and you just finish with whatever comes to mind, which I'm sure for you will. It'll be amazing. The biggest misconception about intuitives is blank,.

Jennifer Shaffer:

That they're not normal.

Roxy Manning:

That's a good point. That's a good point. The sign from a loved one people miss most often is blank pennies, pennies. So pennies on the ground. So that is truly a sign.

Jennifer Shaffer:

But everyone's afraid to pick up a penny now, like, people don't want to pick up pennies, but that's just pennies and feathers. It's true.

Roxy Manning:

So we should be picking those things.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Up because it also signals to the universe that you want money too. But if you say no, then you're saying no to money. It doesn't matter what size of, you.

Roxy Manning:

Know, right denomination of money it is and everything. Pick up that penny and that feather.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Well, the butterfly is more. It's known. Right. But the penny, people don't talk about that. There's pennies from heaven.

Roxy Manning:

Make a mental note to pick up those pennies. The first thing I tell someone who's grieving is blank.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Give yourself some grace. Allow it to come and go. Some days you'll be better prepared for it and other days you won't. And just it. Grief has no appointments, it just comes in.

And you're going to go through stages and phases, but allow yourself give, but give yourself grace. Don't ever try to get over it. And that's the biggest thing. Trying to get over it is just going to make it worse. What you.

No one's ever going to get over the loss of a child, ever. But you'll learn to coexist with it.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah. What is. I mean, just let it come. Let it go and let it come and let it pass and honor it.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Honor it. Because if you have grief over someone, that's because you loved well and honor that, you know?

And the other thing is nobody from the other side is mad at you because you weren't there at their death or you weren't there. They get to go when they arrive, when they take their first breath in a different place.

They get to feel all the love you've ever given them your whole life all at once. They don't care about the last day or the last two weeks. It's about who you were all along that they get to feel and what they get.

Roxy Manning:

What a. What an amazing thing that they go through when they reach, you know, that place. Yeah. Wow. What about dogs?

Jennifer Shaffer:

They're the best.

Roxy Manning:

What about our dogs? Do they go right? Do they all. Do they. Are we going to be reunited?

Jennifer Shaffer:

They come in the forms of whatever we can handle. A lot of dogs I've seen were horses before. Like, they just. They're our companions. They're sentient beings. They mimic our troubles, our pain.

They absorb. Like, people don't even know that cats purring heals your bones. They've done the frequency. They've tested cats with frequencies. And they.

They really are these little magicians.

Roxy Manning:

As much as I want to, okay, so they do. And they will be waiting for us.

Jennifer Shaffer:

When we come through with feelings and thoughts and everything. They come through like, because they don't talk like this. They project their feelings and thoughts. But why they're with you talk to them.

Like, they give you answers. You just can't judge it. If you judge it or if you, like, don't believe that you could talk to them, then you can't.

Roxy Manning:

And then do they send us all.

Jennifer Shaffer:

The time as well?

Roxy Manning:

Like, are they. Do they. What's. What's like.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Aside from our dog, probably another dog.

Roxy Manning:

It's like a revolving door at our house. Another dog.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Or it's. It's another noise or it's some food. Like you'll hear pitter patter. Like you'll hear that. Their energy.

Roxy Manning:

That's that little clicks of the nails,.

Jennifer Shaffer:

The breathing that puts you to sleep, you know, with dogs, you'll Hear that and you'll wake up. That's them.

Roxy Manning:

Wow. Okay. That's so good to hear. Because just for some reason, with animals passing. Yeah.

Jennifer Shaffer:

And know that they know that. They know their purpose. They know when they. When they're supposed to leave. They know they know their purpose. We don't.

Roxy Manning:

Right.

Jennifer Shaffer:

They do. They do.

Roxy Manning:

And that can be the hardest decision to have to make that decision, you know?

Jennifer Shaffer:

But they.

Roxy Manning:

It's.

Jennifer Shaffer:

They're. They usually are. Like, they've made it a month prior. It's usually. We try to keep them more, like, stay longer.

Roxy Manning:

Okay. So they're okay with that when you have to make that decision. And it's so painful.

Jennifer Shaffer:

I've never had any dog say no. Like, they're just like. I'm like, really? You have to take me. You have to lift me up. Take me to the bathroom. Like, come on, dude.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah, let me be free. Free of the thing.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Right.

Roxy Manning:

Okay.

Jennifer Shaffer:

The.

Roxy Manning:

Okay. The one question every client asks me. Me is blank.

Jennifer Shaffer:

That's interesting. They don't say this, but they want to know. It's usually because they want to know their own mortality. As if I'm going to say something.

Roxy Manning:

Right.

Jennifer Shaffer:

So what if by them not wanting to know it, I can feel it, but they want to know it? Like, I would never say anything unless I. I've had three people tell me they've thought about death a lot. And.

And I did feel something, but then again, I don't know when. Like, it's not something that.

Roxy Manning:

It's not like a calendar date. You can say.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Okay. No. And I do tell if somebody's in hospice and, like, do I get on that flight to New York? I'm like, I can tell them, yes, get on that flight. Okay.

You need to see. And sure enough, their parent, you know, might have passed away as soon as I got there.

Roxy Manning:

Okay.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Kind of thing. But no, I don't.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah, you can't.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Yeah.

Roxy Manning:

It's not like, okay, this is going to happen on this date or what have you.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Dies. And so that's the other thing.

Roxy Manning:

Oh, interesting. Because their energy lives on. Is that okay?

Jennifer Shaffer:

Yeah. People that have dementia, like, they're already over there. They're having the time of their life, really having so much fun.

I only feel bad for the caregivers. They're having so much fun.

Roxy Manning:

So their mind, their spirit people, they have a blast.

Jennifer Shaffer:

They're with their first boyfriends while they're still married here. Like, I've seen everything. They're having so much fun. People that have dementia and Alzheimer's It's. We're the ones that have taken care of them.

Have you ever noticed that they usually live longer?

Roxy Manning:

Right. Right.

Jennifer Shaffer:

They're not telling their bodies, oh, I'm fat, I have cancer, I have this, I have that. So they live longer.

Roxy Manning:

Right.

Jennifer Shaffer:

I'm like, we need to do that while we have our cognitive brains.

Roxy Manning:

That's such a good point. That's. It just shows you how powerful the mind is. You know, it's everything. God. Okay. That I'm, like, taking notes.

I'm, like, doing everything different now. I know I'm receiving a message. When blank.

Jennifer Shaffer:

When you feel good.

Roxy Manning:

Okay.

Jennifer Shaffer:

When your heart gets lifted before your mind comes to and says, oh, no, that's not a message, or, oh, no, they wouldn't. Your heart feels it. You might have the chills. The chills are a huge, huge, huge. That's the energy.

So when they come into your energy field, your heart rate will go up and. And so instead of panicking, a lot of that has to do with people that are your loved ones that are around you.

Roxy Manning:

Wow. And that's the energy you're feeling.

Jennifer Shaffer:

That's the energy. And when they give you the chills, those are chill hugs. I call it glitter now.

Roxy Manning:

Oh, I like it.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Glitter hugs. Because I think that's more fun.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah. It's more visual, too. I'm like, I like the glitter. Yeah.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Glitter chills. Yes.

Roxy Manning:

Okay. This is so good to know. The one thing people should stop being afraid of is blank dying. I mean, obviously I also have that fear.

Jennifer Shaffer:

So be afraid of not living.

Roxy Manning:

Okay.

Jennifer Shaffer:

I think that when we get to the other part of one of the things that we get asked, probably the only thing is, did you love. Well, did you love yourself well enough to do that thing?

Or did you live your life because you thought you should because of somebody telling you to a certain way? Like, be worried about not living. Okay, but not death.

Roxy Manning:

Not death. What about the process of dying? Like, is that something that we should fear? Like the actual. When your body shuts down and. No, no, no, no.

It's a peaceful. Usually passing. Okay.

Jennifer Shaffer:

It's the body itself might look more abrupt, but they're usually okay. They're always out of their body, like two days prior. They're just waiting for everybody to come let them go. Their body is still going, so.

So it sounds that death rattle that people hear for can't. They're not feeling it. They're already out. They're on the. They're tied to their body, but they're out. So they're watching all of us.

Roxy Manning:

That just, like, gives me an Alzheimer to think about.

Jennifer Shaffer:

That's why the room's cold. That's why they're looking at their relatives and saying things. Yeah, everyone's there.

Roxy Manning:

Oh. That's why they have that look and they can see. Okay. That's. Wow. Wow. If everyone trusted their intuition a little more, they would.

Jennifer Shaffer:

They clinder people would be more compassionate. They would realize how connected they are to everything and how their feelings affect others.

Roxy Manning:

Such a good lesson. The one thing I hope everyone listening remembers after today's conversation how fabulous they are.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Be fabulous. Ruminate over being wonderful. Like, wake up in the morning and tell yourself, I'm fucking awesome. And I'm telling you, that's like liquid medicine.

And it just before your mind comes to, just say every day. I'm like, I can handle everything. I can handle everything. You're fucking awesome. Whatever, xyz. You don't have to say the F word. It just totally.

Roxy Manning:

We love the F bomb, though. Totally.

Jennifer Shaffer:

And what can I do that's going to be better? What can I do? Just be better. Just be better.

Roxy Manning:

Love harder. Love more.

Jennifer Shaffer:

Love harder. Love your. If you want love, Love yourself. Like, take yourself out. What would you do? Okay, I'm gonna go take myself to the beach.

I'm gonna take myself to the movie. I'm gonna read that fabulous book. I'm gonna write that book. I'm gonna.

I'm gonna reach out to the friend that I've been thinking about but haven't done that yet. I'm gonna let that other friend go. You know, we're on a train. Some. I heard this. Some people get off the train, let them go. Their stop was there.

It's okay.

Roxy Manning:

And maybe they stay for two extra stops. And you're like.

Jennifer Shaffer:

You're like, go to the back.

Roxy Manning:

You lost your place. You've lost it.
