This is the launch of Season Two and an affirmation that my passion for this podcast and lifting and climbing is unchanged after a rocky year of personal upheaval and changes.
At age 67, I divorced, uprooted my life of 10+years in Arizona, and moved back to my native Canada.
I added to the rising statistics of Gray Divorce and Silver Splitting.
I chose me, healthy relationships, personal fulfillment, and a desire to make a positive difference in the world around me during the decades to follow.
I am reinventing and transforming once again.
I share my unedited, unfiltered, in-real-time life as a Baby Boomer woman because I hope my experiences and learnings will help others on their transformation journeys.
SOURCE: Today.com "While the U.S. divorce rate may be at a 50-year low, divorce is much more common among those who are 55 and older. According to the most recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, divorce rates were highest (about 43%) among both sexes, aged 55 to 64. In other words, couples in long-term marriages, perhaps staying in a less-than-ideal situation until their kids left the proverbial nest, are now forging their own single paths."
Our series about #CHANGE began with Episode 35, “Driving Change” - https://lift-as-you-climb.captivate.fm/episode/driving-change-on-a-road-trip-layc35 and continues with multiple episodes about many facets of change. It’s a big topic and we will be unpacking (#punintended) it for a while to come.

Hello and welcome to Season 2 of the Lift As You Climb podcast.Isabel:
Right from the beginning, I'd like to say thank you to the thousands ofIsabel:
listeners and subscribers who supported us in our first year of broadcasting.Isabel:
With your help, we were able to spread the word about the Lift As You Climb Movement.Isabel:
And I hope incite and inspire a few more people to do more lifting and climbing.Isabel:
You may also be aware, that I slowed it down on my weekly release ofIsabel:
episodes towards the end of last year.Isabel:
As I went through a major personal transition and a divorce and a relocationIsabel:
back to Canada, where I'm a native.Isabel:
Episodes 40, Unpacking Change and episode 41, Irreconcilable Change,Isabel:
will expand a little bit on that.Isabel:
For those of you out there, and I know I am not alone...Isabel:
That have made a decision...Isabel:
Not lightly, but for good reason.Isabel:
And with lots of thought and contemplation, to makeIsabel:
a significant life change.Isabel:
And I talk about that, I share my own experiences in that.Isabel:
I hope that it helps you and lifts you, through the decisionsIsabel:
that you will make yourself.Isabel:
But here I am, I am back and I am ready and excited, toIsabel:
have this new season with you.Isabel:
With my change of address, you may also have noticed change of name...Isabel:
I'm now your host Isabel Alexander, formerly Isabel Banerjee,Isabel:
when we started this podcast.Isabel:
What hasn't changed is my passion for spreading this word,Isabel:
spreading the thoughts around how we can build success ladders...Isabel:
As we continue to grow ourselves, and to elevate our confidence and our resources.Isabel:
How we can help others and lift them, so that they can alsoIsabel:
lift other people and climb.Isabel:
So that's what I will continue to do.Isabel:
I am very passionate about...Isabel:
I continue to coach and mentor and cheer lead, and create visions, andIsabel:
help people realize their visions in their personal and professional lives.Isabel:
But for now, what I'd like to do is to continue to spend some time withIsabel:
you and figure out the topics that appeal to you about changing limitingIsabel:
beliefs, and increasing the expectation of success and possibilities and joy.Isabel:
What also doesn't change for me ever is my transparency and my honesty, becauseIsabel:
I do believe that being the real me, and sharing insight into how I figured thingsIsabel:
out, along the way in my life, the good, the bad and the oh, my goddess stuff...Isabel:
is helpful to others.Isabel:
I'm not going to be the staged, edited, filtered, perfection that we seeIsabel:
in some social media personalities.Isabel:
This is it, this is me.Isabel:
And I am looking forward to sharing with you so that we togetherIsabel:
can evolve and grow and become the best yet that we could be...Isabel:
Because I also believe very much...Isabel:
That our experiences in life position us perfectly and uniquely for theIsabel:
next growth or evolution part of us.Isabel:
That as we grow and evolve, we just have so much more thatIsabel:
we can contribute to others.Isabel:
So this season, I'm gonna delve deeper into the rewards of reinventing andIsabel:
examining our identity as we grow and change and evolve and what inspires andIsabel:
ignites us, which leads to a fuller, richer life and having a greater impact.Isabel:
Now it just won't all be wishing and thinking, there's gonna be a lot ofIsabel:
practical and implementable shared wisdom.Isabel:
I'm also going to interview some really inspiring people, whoIsabel:
will also share their examples of how you can Lift As You Climb...Isabel:
Cuz you don't have to be extraordinarily wealthy.Isabel:
You don't have to have the Gates Foundation as a resource for you toIsabel:
make a significant impact in the world.Isabel:
I believe that if we're purposeful about what we do have as individualsIsabel:
and look at how we use that to create value in other people's lives, thenIsabel:
the best possible thing is happening...Isabel:
We're actually living our legacy, while we are present..Isabel:
To continue to refine it, and improve it...Isabel:
And most importantly, really enjoy it, and celebrate it.Isabel:
I believe it is never, ever, ever too late to begin again.Isabel:
In fact, even though it's scary as hell at different times.Isabel:
Really, some of the very best parts of us come out of feeling a littleIsabel:
scared, getting uncomfortable in our comfortableness and trying somethingIsabel:
new, and doing something new.Isabel:
I hope to engage you in some thought provokingIsabel:
conversations and ideas around...Isabel:
How do we begin again, and know where we're going?Isabel:
And of course, you know, I call that our Encore, because I believeIsabel:
our lives are just a continual series of roles, of stardom inIsabel:
that particular stage of our lives.Isabel:
That we do have the privilege, the ability to write a new script,Isabel:
and create an entirely new, long running, sell out, standing ovation,Isabel:
earning experience in our lives.Isabel:
I'm not alone in this, because there's a lot of celebs out there rightIsabel:
now and, media personalities, that are talking about these things...Isabel:
in particular one that's caught my eye recently is Brook Shields.Isabel:
Brook Shields has a new platform called, Beginning Is Now.Isabel:
She's saying the things that I've been saying for years, thatIsabel:
the power of collaboration and collective wisdom of women shared...Isabel:
Raises the tide, and raises all boats.Isabel:
And of course, Oprah's been saying that for decades.Isabel:
Let's join them.Isabel:
Let's build our own success ladders, but also at the same time, be helping toIsabel:
construct the success ladders of others.Isabel:
I'd like your help with this.Isabel:
I'd love to get some emails from you that suggest topics.Isabel:
There's no off limits topics around this.Isabel:
This is all about, us evolving, and doing the best we can for ourselves,Isabel:
our families, our loved ones, and as many other people as we can impact.Isabel:
I would also appreciate any suggestions you have on guests that I couldIsabel:
interview, that are lifting and climbing in unique, inspiring, igniting ways.Isabel:
So send me an email at...Isabel:
Share your Encore stories, your lifting and climbing experiences,Isabel:
because I am confident that they will inspire someone else.Isabel:
So for now, thank you very much.Isabel:
I look forward to continuing our conversations next week.Isabel:
Continue to grow, and make sure you're stepping into the spotlight.
