Doug Morton is the founder of BTCRetailX, a point-of-sale that includes pricing in sats and a variety of Bitcoin payment rails and features. Doug built computers as a teen and transitioned into corporate tech support before becoming a tech consultant focused on point-of-sale and accounting consulting. He is a board member of the South Carolina Emerging Tech Association that took South Carolina's elected State Treasurer to El Salvador in 2022 to learn about Bitcoin usage in El Salvador. Doug has been to El Salvador three times to support Mi Primer Bitcoin and test students on Bitcoin to receive their Bitcoin diploma. Doug runs the SC Bitcoin Blockchain Conference held in October in Charleston, SC, has been in Bitcoin since 2017, and currently runs the Charleston Bitcoin Meetup.
