Shownotes

Euro-dollar closed at one point one three seven four, down one point three pips on the day; cable finished at one point three two five, up zero point zero zero zero eight; and dollar-yen ended at one hundred fifty-seven, down zero point seven seven. The broader week was softer for all three pairs. 📉💱 Dollar-yen stood out most, falling zero point seven seven on the day and sitting below both the 50-day average at one hundred fifty-eight point seven zero four five and the 200-day average at one hundred fifty-eight point four five eight zero four, while remaining above its five-session low at one hundred fifty-six point five. The pivotal level is one hundred fifty-six point five, and price is above it. Japan’s Bank of BoJ Summary of Opinions and Tankan survey arrive on Thursday, September 30, at eight fifty Japan time, with Friday’s US Employment Situation adding another test for the pair. What remains unresolved is whether one hundred fifty-six point five breaks cleanly or rejects price, while euro-dollar still has one point one three five nine and cable still has one point three two zero four ahead of Friday’s euro-area HICP flash estimate, Wednesday’s UK quarterly national accounts, and Friday’s US Employment Situation. The Money Mosaic examines where these three pairs stand, which levels matter, and which releases could force the next move.
