Coach Nick LoGalbo is entering his 11th season as the head boys’ basketball coach (14th total) at his alma mater Lane Tech High School in Chicago, Illinois. His background in basketball started when he played for Lane Tech as a four-year player. He then played four years of collegiate NCAA basketball at Benedictine University. He has been working at Lane Tech since graduating from college as an English teacher, basketball coach and now also serves as the school’s athletic director.
Nick works several camps during the off-season including the Duke University Basketball Camp and Snow Valley Basketball School.
Coach LoGalbo works with USA Basketball as a lead clinician for their youth development clinics and regional camps, serves as a regional coordinator for USAB 3x3, and he has also spoken at USA Basketball’s Coaches Academy to other aspiring coaches from across the country.
Nick was awarded the “Rising Star” Award by Benedictine University for his work in education and philanthropy working to combat gun violence in Chicago. Coach LoGalbo has organized and facilitated several #chicagostandup Rallies to raise awareness and empower youth to take a stand against gun violence.
