Today I’m welcoming back Dr. Michelle Leary. Dr. Leary is a Functional Medicine Physician and the Director of Functional Medicine at Vida Integrated Health.
Her specialties include primary care, sexual and hormonal health, fertility, and anti-aging medicine for both men and women.
Dr. Leary began her early career in cardiac rehab prior to receiving her doctorate from Bastyr University. In 2016 she was the first naturopathic physician ever to be selected for a fellowship in multiple sclerosis management through the National MS Society.
She has also completed training at the Institute of Women’s Health, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) in areas of sexology, hormone management, anti-aging medicine, and metabolic weight-loss.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Leary is the owner and creator of PowerSexBeauty.com, a lifestyle brand and blog dedicated to women who want to optimize their health, invigorate their sexual energy, and live beautifully from the inside out.
At the core of her approach to medicine is supporting her patients’ mental, emotional, and spiritual health. So today I’m talking with Dr. Leary about attachment theory and how we can use it to improve our relationships with ourselves, with others and even with food.
There’s a lot of buzz on social media about attachment theory, so I wanted to learn more about it and how we can apply it to our lives in practical ways. I learned a ton in this episode, and I hope you’ll enjoy my interview with Dr. Michelle Leary as much as I did!
