Violence can be defined as the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment, or deprivation. Violence is a learned behavior that can be unlearned. To stop violence, we need to change the individual, group and community behaviors as it relates to how we think and interact with each other.
Like other cities around the country, multiple forms of violence have caused significant injury and trauma for individuals, families, and neighborhoods across Milwaukee. Join us as we talk to Cornelius Hall, 414 Life Violence Interrupter Supervisor and Certified Gang Expert about what 414 Life is, what is a violence Interrupter and how they go about interrupting the cycle of violence.
