Matthew 10:32–33 (NKJV): Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Jesus. Matthew:
Ok. This one is sober. Like really sober. Then again, it’s really simple. Jesus isn’t threatening us or blackmailing us, he’s just stating the simple fact—if we don’t own our loyalty to him, it’s simply because we don’t HAVE any. So there’s nothing for him to report on his end—except that he doesn’t know us, either. It’s that simple. We aren’t on his side, so he’s not going to pretend that we are or compel us to be. What we are, he confesses to his Father—as we have confessed to our fellow men.
